Heartland Ambassador Hotel Hamilton is centrally located in Hamilton, 10 minutes’ walk from Waikato Stadium. Guests enjoy an outdoor swimming pool, BBQ facilities, and a hot tub. Stayed here with my partner, sister-in-law and her 3 kids. Was amazing value for money and way better than any other place that was offering the same amount of beds. Essentially had 3 rooms, one being the lounge, plus a small kitchenette and another dining room area. We appreciated so much room with all the kids while not being super expensive :D Also so close to town and all the shops too.

Location was perfect with a quick walk to heaps of shops and restaurants. Right opposite the lake. Friendly staff. Free car parking. Free WIFI. Laundry room Available. The best thing was pulling up into the car park after a few hours of driving with our toddler, to see the trampoline and swing-set - he was entertained for hours. We will be back for sure.

I love how everything was clean. I love the big cotton towels, the big comfortable bed, the big sky tv, and how easy it was to access the lift right by the entrance and be up in my room in a flash. The staff were kind and helpful. The buffet breakfast was yummy and the layout of the restaurant was spacious and friendly, overlooking the calm waters of the Waikato River. It was my first time to stay in an Ibis Hotel. Whenever I visited Hamilton I always stayed at Novatel but this one was better in my opinion.
There was no breakfast but none was expected. The location was interesting with both a Park and the Waikato River within easy walking distance. Some would call the area Refugee central, which made for colourful ethnic diversity as people came and went from the many apartment complexes, but also surprisingly quiet as most seemed to be empty although perhaps many were away for the long weekend to escape the concert scheduled to take place in the Park on the Sunday.

The room worked well for my family. The bedroom had a large bed and two twins in the living room. May have been less comfortable for a long stay, but perfect for us to attend an event at Waikato Stadium. The walk to the stadium was extremely easy and convenient. The manager on the property was extremely nice and helpful.

What a great spot! Lots of room, very warm and quiet and stunning views out over the Waikato River. Just a short walk into town, and very handy to Claudelands for the event we attended. Beds were very comfy and the treats left for us in the apartment were very much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again.
Great hotel to stay in. Very comfy and the location is so convenient. It’s very close to the beautiful Waikato River (well worth a walk down here) Close to many different eating establishments. The staff are so friendly and the complimentary continental breakfast is such a welcome bonus.

The apartment was ideal as we were close to Mangakino Shuttle Service (we were cycling the Waikato River Trail), the river & the local shops. The apartment was extremely comfortable, clean & roomy, on a very quiet road.
We have stayed here before with no issues. We like the central location and the facilities are nice. We like the fact this Hotel is owned by Tainui and try to stay here whenever we are in the Waikato.

Top end .. everything included , even washing machine dryer.. very clean ..roomy but the best was the view with an amazing terrace . we could not expect better .. all rooms were big and so convenient ..Everything you need in the kitchen.. very nice parking at the door.. short walk to the restaurant .. breakfast buffet was amazing .. Highly recommended for the spectacular view and comfort. You should go to the restaurant for dinner or lunch , best selection. Very friendly and helpful staff at the Reception
