Originally built in 1889, the heritage-listed Okoroire Hot Springs Hotel features an onsite hot spring bath, a 9-hole golf course and a tennis court. What a fantastic surprise this stay ended up being. We booked it during our travels for a quick place to stop at after visiting Hobbiton and on our way to Auckland without expecting much. However, the old world charm, the excellently maintained hot springs, and the delicious dinner were all great surprises.

Built in 1952, Putaruru Hotel is located in Putaruru, in the heart of the Waikato Region. The building has art deco features and free private parking is available on site. Good location, very helpful and friendly staff! Have stayed here a few times for the night when doing big trips.

Great, quiet spot near a road but not noisy. Wonderful Appartment, great Gardens directly infront, meadows and cattle all around. Huge Appartment for 2, more than enough space and all the amenities one could need.

26 miles from Mystery Creek Events Centre in Tirau, Holiday Bliss - Kiwi Suite features accommodations with access to a hot tub. It was lovely to have breakfast sorted in the morning. Carmen thoughtfully left a loaf of freshly made bread on the bench and treats in the fridge. The house was amazing, everything you need for a quick get away. And the bed was super comfy.

26 miles from Mystery Creek Events Centre in Tirau, Holiday Bliss features accommodations with access to a hot tub. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The host went the extra mile to make the stay brilliant. Little surprise on arrival that they certainly don't need to provide.

Lake Karapiro Lodge offers views of the surrounding countryside and lake. Gourmet breakfast is included. Facilities include free WiFi, an outdoor swimming pool, hot tub and sauna. The views, the hosts, the breakfast; everything was simply amazing. This is a very unique place, managed by amazing people. Definitely worth a visit!

Maple Retreat by Blue Spring offers accommodations in Putaruru, 29 miles from Zorb Rotorua. The guest house, set in a building dating from 2023, offers free Wifi and free private parking. Thank you for the hospitality. Very restful to sit outside and watch the local wildlife in the reserve, birds coming in to roost for the night, local moggies, and even a kingfisher! All the best :-)
