Meerssen is een leuk dorpje maar vooral de hele omgeving is zeer de moeite waard. Bezoek zeker Luik en Maastricht. twee prachtige steden waar je bij beiden je prima een dag kan vermaken en heerlijk kunt eten. Verken Zuid Limburg per auto of op de fiets maar een mooie wandeling is ook zeker aan ter raden bijv. in Oud Valkenburg rondom Schaloen.
Valkenburg is a very touristy place, very suited to young families. Lots of restaurants, bars, souvenirshops and so on. The place has a few interesting historic sites, like a castle ruin, old medieval buildings and ofcourse the mining industry. If you keep that in mind it is a nice place to be. From Valkenburg it is easy to go for daytrips to Maastricht (use the train!), Aken, The Three Country Border in Vaals and Luik. The surrounding area, Southern Limburg, is just beautiful.
Venlo is beautiful city, One can enjoy tranquil walks along the river Maas any time of the year. It is a quaint city with lots of activities. Some places worth checking out are: The 16th century renaissance-style Stadhuis, Romerhuis, the medieval street Gasthuisstraat and the Limburg Museum:
Stayed in Valkenburg a bit by chance -- we were visiting friends somewhere else. Nonetheless, it was a very nice surprise. Very interesting set of bars and cafes in the old town, all with their own decoration. Interesting castle ruins. Great base for visiting South Limburg, Maastricht or Aachen.

We only visited Venlo centre once during the evening, spending the day we had in the surrounding area visiting the restored Kasteel de Keverberg and Kasteeltuinen (Castle Gardens) Arcen. We would have liked to visit the Limburgs Museum in Venlo.. next time..
Maastricht is a nice surprise city, very charming whether you would like an historical place located at the crossing point of many cultures. Of course, even better with a slice of Limburgse pie!
It is great base fo exploring Limburg and even further afield. A lovely quiet little village but very close to larger towns and even Germany or Belgium. We were just taking a break en route to the U.K. but well worth staying a little longer
Epen is a nice little town located in the five-star environment of South-Limburg. Wonderful starting place for hikes, walks, cycling trips or trailrunning. Close to other places such as Valkenburg or Maastricht. Nice little hideaway.
Nice small town in the middle of all that makes Limburg the beautiful province it is. Near enough to Margraten, Valkenburg and Maastricht, main places of significant interest. Plenty of good restaurants in the town itself and near Gulpen, which has all stores you might conceivably need.
The hotel is located right in the city center, on the bank of the Geul river, and the view from the room window is superb. The room is large, bright, with all facilities. Varied breakfast, for all tastes. And the town is quite atypical for the Netherlands: it is located between hills, crossed by a fast river, and there is even a chairlift. It is a good base for day trips to South Limburg, Maastricht, Aachen and even Liege
Well maintained property; nice restaurant and bars. Make sure to book a room not facing any roads; not that there’s much traffic but when a car does drive by and your window is open, you will hear it. Hotel is close to all main attractions of Deep South Limburg and many opportunities to explore the area on foot, even walk to Germany and Belgium. Hotel has a pool and sauna.

We stayed in a really nice apartment with super cosy atmosphere. It was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The owners did everything for us to feel comfortable and solved in no time a little problem we had. South Limburg is my favourite place from the country, we keep coming back! Thank you for having us and being part of a nice Christmas experience!
The location was great, very close to the centre of Maastricht. The building itself is stunning, the room was beautiful with the stained glass window and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly. As we were there to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday, the hotel gave us a small Limburgse vlaai which we thought was very nice.
We had never been to Limburg and it is beautiful there! Check in was easy, and although there wasn't a wheelchair accessible room available, the room we had was fine. Since we were there for only 1 night, an accessible shower was not necessary. Had we stayed longer, the staff would have moved us when an accessible room became available.
Great place, close to train station. Hotel had lots of bikers training for race on April 15th. Limburg has hills. Great bus ride via de Bemmeler road back to Maastrict. Lots of campings by farmers, home stay, tiny hotels in a rolling green countyside Got plenty of towels and even new sheets on the 3rd night.

This is an excellent hotel with great comfort, very friendly personal, nice view, clean and quiet. The bed is excellent, the breakfast is very good. It is very well located to visit the Limburg region or cities in the neighbourhood.
I was there for the chess tournement BPB Limburg Open. It is a great hotel if you have planted things during the day and mainly have to spend the night there. The location is great and the staff is very friendly and very flexible

We chose the hotel because it’s convenient to visit Aachen from the Netherland, and continue to Belgium cities. It is idyllic in Spring time, with flowers blossom in the garden and birds chirping. Our luxury king room offered two great beds in different rooms with elegant furnishings. The spa tub in bathroom looks nice although we didn’t use it.
Have stayed here several times, as always everything is great, cozy, clean and comfortable. Convenient that individual parking right next to the house. Especially cozy to sit by the wood fireplace on the first floor. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need.
