There is nothing much to see in Calabar. Tinapa, unfortunately, can still not be called a tourist attraction. The same goes for the Marina Resort, except for the Slave Museum. The film house in the Resort is extremely dirty and unkempt. Generally, Calabar is a good place to rest - quiet and neat.
It is a shame that Calabar that tries to sell itself as a tourist haven in Nigeria has very poor service across a range of service elements - food, drinks, transport etc. But the people are very friendly.
There really isn’t much to visit or do in Calabar outside of the carnival season, it’s as simple as that.

Its a really quiet and small town. I thought it will be bubbling like the resorts there. It was extremely quiet and deserted. Probably i didn't go at the right time. Howard lodging made me enjoy my stay in calabar and their food was delicious. Its easy to get around calabar because fares are quiet cheap
