It was our first trip to Maldives and we had a lot of fun on Maafushi because Kaani Palm made everything very seamless and smooth-sailing. Location: Granted that Maafushi isn't a large island and from end-to-end by foot would take you about 15 minutes, but the location of the hotel (RIGHT above Bikini beach) and the amazing view (we had the ocean view room) enabled us to snorkel and swim whenever we wanted to and experienced the bustling side of Maafushi. Room: The room was also super clean and furnishings were very well-maintained (or recently renovated) - the balcony view of the ocean was unparalleled! Would highly recommend picking Ocean View rooms. Service: I think what really made a difference were the service staff - they were all so friendly and helpful and they really took care of us. Special mention to "Michael Jackson" at the reception! He recommended a half-day nurse-shark, sandbank, shipwreck snorkelling adventure (75 USD) which really gave us a good taster of what nature and wildlife Maldives had, and the guides on the tour were really attentive and friendly. We stayed for 3 nights, and after the first night we requested for a higher floor to get a better view of the ocean and the staff really looked into that request and arranged for it. The hotel also helped to arrange our split-stay form and transfer procedures for our next accommodation on a resort island - every step of the way we could rely on the staff for a good Maldivian experience.

Facing the beachfront, Lea Spa Hotel offers 3-star accommodation in Maafushi and has a shared lounge, terrace and bar. What makes Lea spa great is its staff. Soon after meeting Mr. Musa at the jetty, you would know you are in good hands. The reception staff is very nice and friendly. One restaurant staff, Mr. Raju really stood out for us and we really loved his service and recommendations. The other restaurant staff was great too. From check in to check out, everything was well organized for us. We are glad to book the seaview room. The room is not only clean and spacious but the view is beautiful. Everything was same as picture of booking.com Breakfast was really good. They would mostly have the same item everyday with one or two items changed. The restaurant set up is very nice and ideal for watching the sunset. The restaurant food is priced reasonably, not the cheapest but definitely of good value when price and quantity is compared. Taste is good too. Maafushi is small and you cannot go wrong booking any place. Still, I think the location of lea spa is really great. It suited us well. Everything you need is 1 min away. The property also accepts card payment (except for transfer) although it says in booking.com that they only accept cash. It was a great advantage for us

The host was very communicative and replied promptly to our messages. The host arranged the speed boat for us. We received a warm welcome and hospitality with drinks as a good gesture. We stayed on the rooftop with an amazing sea view and a very open balcony. The resort has many activities and excursions that the host arranged for us. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and installed with air-con. The resort is just a few meters away from the beach. Enjoyed our stay at this resort. All the excursions were organized privately for us and not with large groups of people, which was amazing, being in a speed with 2-4 people :)
