We loved everything about this hotel!! New spacious room with modern bathroom and lovely private patio; excellent pool to cool off after morning safari or before evening one; very friendly and helpful manager who was always smiling and sharing info about elephants with us over meals; very good food (really liked the rice and curry!) which we weren’t necessarily expecting from a hotel restaurant. And the best part: seeing elephants across the road in park during breakfast l!! Side note: be careful about where you book in this area. The hotel we originally booked canceled on us day of when they found out we’d booked a safari through someone else (not them). We were lucky to find this current hotel who said it was our decision to book safari with them or not (although I’m sure their safaris are good too!).

This beautiful cottage and host Mila has all the personality of a home stay/guest house with the privacy of your own cottage. The wooden villas are beautifully made with very thoughtful touches added-water, coffee, chocolate bar, cookies etc. all included. The deck is perfect for relaxing and bird watching in between safaris (you can book Jonah through Mila and we highly recommend him) or naps. Mila cooks delicious traditional Sri Lankan food for his guests and is very considerate of needs-so there's no need to even go to town. The AC and WI-FI was 👌🏼.

Amazing place to stay with great coffee, a nice pool and clean rooms with a nice balcony. The food is very tasty and they offer good wine. They organized an amazing Safari Tour with Dushan who is a great guide with profound knowledge. In the park he even picked up some trash. Will for sure come back, thank you so much! 🙏🏼☺️

A great area in front of the beautiful river. Good value for money, dinner was very good!! And the staff is very friendly. The beds are comfortable and the room is very clean! We took a safari with them and it was great. Totally recommend it

It was a great stay at Lily Resort Udawalawe. They have nice clean room and poolside. Staff are friendly and breakfast is very good. They arrange us reasonable safari tour with snacks to enjoy during our safari. Safari tour guide well knowledge. He gave us superb experience.

The price for this tour is 50 dollars per person. It is absolutely worth it. Owners are hospitable and polite. You may also ask to wash your clothes. The breakfast and dinner are awesome with a big portion.
