Bernard gave us a very warm welcome and provided us with a wonderful stay in an oasis of well-being. During our trip, the search for small, authentic and nice accommodation was unfortunately somewhat difficult. The Lion Gate Hotel ultimately met all our expectations and not only did we have a great starting point for our activities around Sigiriya but also a place where we really enjoyed going to simply relax. The rooms are very nice, the facilities are new and modern. The service should be emphasized. Any type of requests were fulfilled immediately. I can highly recommend staying at Lion Gate Hotel.

We had such an amazing stay here, the staff is SO nice! The room is very spacious and the bed was one of the most comfiest we had during our trip. Also the shower is warm and the Pool is great too! Breakfast is nice, they have a great cook that makes the yummiest tuna sandwich (a must try!!!) Actually all the food tastes very good. Couldn't recommend this place more!!

What is most exceptional is the staff - The hotel manger was Extremely helpful - we had to make date changes due to flight delays. The manager was so very accommodating and promptly made the necessary changes keeping me informed via text. He also assisted with a safari bookings a cookery demo bookings etc. Communicative, helpful , courteous and went above and beyond! The epitome of hospitality! Thank you to the manager and staff at Teprass for making their stay so memorable.

We were very surprised by the quality of this accomodation, that easily matches the standards of established four-star hotels (no exageration), but with a family touch - it is run by a young couple of private owners, who put great effort into keeping their customers happy in every way. A beautiful spot with a great pool/ sunbathing area, on the peaceful outskirts of Sigiriya. Lovely, family-run hotel - owner, Bandu, was full of good cheer and very helpful arranging trips for us. Large, comfortable room and balcony to sit out on. Picturesque setting. Our family had a very happy couple of days here; great base for the cultural triangle. And the restaurant served great breakfast and diner - best we had in Sigiriya.
My friend Aura recommended this hotel to me and I can only say that, after traveling around the island for almost a month, this has undoubtedly been the best by far. Its location in contact with wildlife but close to all the tourist attractions of the Cultural Triangle is simply perfect. The food they offer is the most delicious we have tried. This is our second visit to the Heritage Hotel In Anuradhapura, as we getting to the lobby Mr. Sumith came and recognized us and gave us a warm welcome, from that time until we leave he personally took care of us, I should say he is an asset to the hotel, then miss Thlini at front , she was arranging the Kiripindu Dana for us and always helped us with a charming smile. The restaurant staff , chefs every one is giving us a professional service, the food was excellent with lots of verities to select. Room was very clean and perfect. Very calm and quiet place to stay after traveling a long distance from Colombo. The hotel surrounding is in environmentally friendly location. Very conveniently located to go to all the important Dagabas In Anuradhapura. Without any hesitation I can recommend this hotel to anyone who wants visit Anuradhapura . Finally I want to thank specially to Mr. Wijesinghe and his great staff for making our stay memorable, and I promised Mr. Wijesinghe that we are coming back when ever we go on vacation to Sri Lanka.

We liked the interaction with staff. They were attentive to all our needs and went beyond the call of duty. We sincerely appreciated this. Breakfast was very good - dinner was a bit salty on first night but was rectified the next day.

He stayed here in 1912 that is proven. I tried to figure out which room it was to be shown by the ‚Kammerherr‘ Mr Ratnayake the best top floor suite room at a very reasonable rate…
