The most professional service we've encountered on our Laos travels. On arrival, we got a lift by the owner from the boat to guesthouse and received a warm welcome. The room was just spectacular - grand view of Mekong from the balcony (sunrise over the river definitely worth waking up a little earlier!), large bed and bathroom and the best toilet we've encountered in all Laos. The guesthouse has a restaurant serving delicious Lao, Asian and Western meals and staff was very helpfull and friendly. In addition, the town of Champassak is so nice, clean and green - a pleasant change after Vientiane, Pakse etc. If you're visiting this area, Nakorn Guesthouse is highly recommended!

They were also very helpful in booking for us a trip to 4000 islands (we took a boat from their pier which is down the stairs from the hotel). The room is clean and very comfortable. The terrace overlooks the Mekong river and its quiet life. The swimming pool is a pleasant place to relax. The restaurant is good. We had such a blast there that we decided to extend our stay 2 additional nights! We highly recommend this place! This is one of the best hotel we did in Laos so far!

A cozy guest house run by the sweetest and most genuine family. They were able to arrange many things for us as well, like motorbike rentals, breakfast, and transportation. They were also very happy to give tips on where to go and what to do. I was even invited to join their family and friends for Laotian hot pot one evening. This was an experience you can’t even pay for. Their hospitality and concern for guests goes above and beyond.

Staff was very helpful and professional. The room was very clean and had all the amenities. I swim and the pool was very nice. Wat Phu Champasak is worth a trip If you have a couple of days only Pakse is a good base for day trips If you have longer then get out to somewhere else such as Tad Lo to spend more time in the great outdoors.

The 3 of us stayed in 2 units- one was the 2 bedroom apartment with a private deck and a hammock overlooking the Mekong where we spent most of our time.The other unit was close by and perfect for our friend.The apartment is great for a couple or a family and was very relaxing, clean and comfortable. The owners and the staff were wonderful.The food and variety of options were amazing..We stayed for 4 nights and other than a memorable visit to Wat Phou we decided to just hang around Champasak and enjoy Nakorn River View. It was a good decision!

The property is located in the Don Daeng island and the hotel picked us up by boat in Champasak in front of the island. We absolutely loved the rides on that small boat across the Mekong River and the views from the hotel. The swimming pool is beautiful and we were very happy to support a hotel with such sustainability and community support standards.

The food was great. Location was amazing. Staff was amazing.
The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The staff very friendly. I really enjoyed being able to come back each day and have a swim. I ate in the hotel most nights the meals on offer were fine as was the breakfast. It was easy enough to organise airport pick up and tours through the hotel.

This hotel looks a little run down and the room was quite bare, so we were apprehensive on arrival. But the staff were fantastic and the view was amazing. The restaurant overlooking the river was a real highlight. We had a lovely afternoon by the pool and a very reasonably priced dinner. Staff did everything they could to make our stay perfect.

Not too far from everything that you need, nice room but bathroom is a bit underwhelming. Useful that you can rent bikes, do laundry and there is a restaurant.
