He is an amazing host, and the bungalow is overlooking the Mekong. There's plenty to do for people who love nature. The accommodation is super simple yet comfortable and clean. There is a partner restaurant nearby with a great view and the food is yummy! We got to know Tan, and he has many stories to tell; lots of laughs and interesting facts about the area. Coffee and breakfast is 'absolutely amazing' and SUNSET is phenomenal! <3

Pomelo Restaurant and Studio Room Riverfront Guesthouse -Serenity Awaits- Discover Southend of Laos offers a quiet and relaxing stay in Don Khone Island. The property is a very basic but right on the bank of the Mekong River, in a small fishing village. No shops or ATMs. Our hut on stilts had a small balcony with a spectacular view of the river, a spacious bedroom with a comfy bed and mosquito net and a seating area, and a good hot shower. it is a guesthouse - do not expect hotel-type service, but Mr Tam and the two girls are willing to help if you ask. He no longer runs a restaurant but there are two - simple but good, with views over the river, a minute’s walk away. We’d’ve stayed longer if we could.

An absolutely fantastic hotel! Brought my mum for the night while she was visiting and it exceeded our expectations. All staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was well construction，and had everything plus more that we could want. Mekong river view is amazing，I've posted lots of video on my social media，The decor and decoration was beautiful. The breakfast was the best one I have had in a hotel in the many years of travel I have had. Have already recommended to friends and if in the area again would book without a shadow of doubt!

The position of the place is perfect to discover the island. The person that handles the property is amazing, struggling a little bit with the English but he will definitely try to help you with your questions. The food is amazing as well and the restaurant is on the river, perfect for enjoying a nice breakfast!

Located in Ban Donsôm in the Champasak region, Souksanh Guesthouse features a balcony and river views. The accommodation is non-smoking. The only reason I don't rate it with a 1 is because it's cheap. Nothing else good to say about our experience.

Situated in Ban Khon, Dokchampa Guesthouse features air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. With river views, this accommodation offers a balcony. I loved everything about the room, the beds were comfy, the view fantastic, warm cosy lights, big room, and the street where the guesthouse is located is my favorite in both Don Det and Don Khone. The host was the sweetest person with the most genuine smile that made our day. Although there were no laundry service available in low season, there is a lady that will clean your clothes 100 meters from the guesthouse. Similarly, you can eat breakfast around the guesthouse at 50 meters. Bikes can also be rented direclty there.

Sala Done Khone Hotel is a 40-minute drive from Khonephapheng Waterfall. Offering modern accommodation, the hotel features a tour desk, pool and shuttle service. Don Khone is the place to be, if you're trying to decide. we almost stayed in Don Det, and I am so glad I spent a bit extra and came here. The village is lovely, the whole island is really nice to bike around, and Sala Done Khone is lovely. The AC works very well, the floating studios are lovely, and the breakfast is great and large. The other meals are also good at the restaurant, or there are plenty of options close by. They provide everything you need and the beds are super comfy! Thanks very much for a lovely stay. We didn't want to leave.
