The location was a great jump off point to the Chugoku region (and even Hakata). There is also a nearby convenience store. The buffet was also great. They even have their own signature dishes which, I guess, they alternate daily. Check in and check out were quick and hassle free.The staff were all nice. Also, the coin laundry (inclusive of detergent) and dryer were very convenient.

Ocean view from the bed was great. Sunset and sunrise was spectacular from the large windows. Private bathroom with the ocean view was also superb. Also enjoyed buffet breakfast with almost 360 degrees view of the city and setouchi sea.
We had a very nice stay at Kurashiki Ivy Square. The room was well appointed, had a kettle and soaps and shampoos. There are three self serve washing machines that you can use for about $5 a load - bearing warned that washing and drying a load will take 2 hours. The staff is very accommodating and you are right in the middle of everything. A lovely town.

Staff is great. They helped with sightseeing in Okayama, and even let me ship an urgent package from Amazon if I stayed another night. The amenities you get here are exceptional for the price you pay. Free popsicles and drinks, snacks for 10 yen, frozen omelette with rice or pasta for 100 yen. Free bicycle to ride around town which was very convenient to see the castle and museums. Free pastries for breakfast. The room is clean and good. Overall I had a great stay. This isn't an ordinary Japanese business hotel.
Elegance, superb style and tradition - a delight to experience. Staff had limited English but we were well looked after with no problems. Appreciated the pickup and return service from Kaike Tourist Centre. Would love to stay again.
Location, Cleanliness, Service even before checking in
Breakfast was good. Service generally good. However most reception staff could not communicate in English whereas restaurant staff did better. Kudos to the part-time barista Cristina who not only could communicate well but conducted herself so well as a concierge in checking and making several arrangements for a side trip for us that the regular staff at reception were unable to do. She was personable, resourceful and went out of her way to support us. We expected this level of service from the hotel’s regular staff which was lacking.
The staff was polite. The hotel offered breakfast buffet, which had many different and tasty options.
I was early for check in and I knew check in time was at 3 PM, so my plan was to keep the luggage at reception and go explore Hiroshima. I hung out at the reception which has great views btw for a while to charge my phone and seeing that the staff were kind enough to check me in early free of cost. This was a great gesture which went a long way in coming back to candeo hotels in the future as well. Apart from this, the rooms are spacious, clean and value for money. Last but not least it's in a great location which is close to most attractions and restaurants.
Nice hotel, free light breakfast, good locatio near the transport. The room is a bit small but it is correct for a short stay and for the price.
One thing I particularly loved about Livemax Hotel Okayama was the excellent location. It was just a short walk away from train stations and several shopping centers, making it incredibly easy to explore the city and nearby areas.
Loved everything about the hotel. Amazing location within walking distance to the tourist loop bus and peace memorial among many other things. Very stylish hotel, super clean, lovely staff and super comfortable. We will definitely be back.
