I booked a year in advance and it was still difficult to book the entire week in Undine. The owner Paolo was atthe front desk and very nice. The breakfast buffet was great and plentiful. The restaurant onsite is amazing and the best spot for dinner on the entire lake. The views were spectacular. I did not expect a spacious balcony deck with duo lounge chairs and umbrella. Air conditioning was a godsend as the temperature was 35C in mid July.

Hotel Ai Dogi is in the central square of Palmanova just 50 metres from the Cathedral. Rooms offer plasma-screen satellite TV and free Wi-Fi, and some have views of the square. Ai Dogi is located right in the center square of beautiful town. As the square is for pedestrians only is very (very) quiet and comfortable for either morning or evening walk. The town itself is right off the Udine-Venezia Autostradale providing perfect stop before exploring Italy (or returning from Holidays). As for the Hotel, perfect score speaks for itself. Very clean rooms / bathrooms / outdoor spaces, extremely competent, helpful and at the same time welcoming staff. Very convenient - one of the best in Italy - breakfast option (you pre-select most of the items from the large list). Private and secure parking available for all guests. Plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy in the evening. Last but not least extremely convenient location for those travelling with dog as there are vast walking grounds around the town (designated routes along external fortifications 5-7 minutes from the Hotel). Its a must stop. We will definately be back whenever driving to (or from) Italy
