The Killeshin Hotel is one mile from Portlaoise and junction 16 off the M7 motorway. It offers a bistro, an indoor pool, hot tub, a gym and free parking. Julia at the reception made us feel very welcome and made the check in very easy, she explained everything well. There was a Polish lady working Saturday night around public areas who was very helpfull too, these two are a credit to the hotel!

The Maldron Hotel is just off junction 17 of the M7 motorway, only 5 minute’s drive from Portlaoise town centre and O'Moore Park. It boasts a 20-metre pool, free Wi-Fi, free parking and a gym. Nice place to stay on our way back to the airport. Very warm welcome. The room was clean and comfortable.

Offering a garden and garden view, Ard na Gréine is situated in Stradbally, 28 km from Carlow Courthouse and 28 km from County Carlow Military Museum. A very clean, spacious and comfortable house. We loved the very well stocked breakfast items even a chocolate! Sinead was helpful in suggesting eating places and local activities.

Located in Mountmellick and only 22 km from Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre, Summergrove House provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Beautiful property it’s like staying in a National Trust house. James was an excellent and attentive host, offering us drinks on arrival. Breakfast was very high quality and cooked to order.

The hosts are awesome, location is great if you want to see east -southeast Ireland, away from noisy cities in a heartwarming rural setting among farms, but 4 km away from the highway.

This was our first time staying at the Iveigh House Hotel, Portlaoise, from the arrival to our check out time everything was excellent. The personal touches, greeting upon arrival, early check requested, a location with tons of character, centrally located and a breakfast which was superb, well done !
Mountmellick
It's a beautiful house on very peaceful grounds. The rooms are well appointed with tasteful decor and modern bathrooms. The host James was very helpful and cooked a very nice breakfast with homemade marmalade. It was better value than the hotels in Portlaoise and definitely a nicer experience.
The hotel is nice and clean the leisure centre is fab and clean. But the staff are the best thing about this hotel. The hotel is out a good bit from portlaois, but it is a nice location. Breakfast is superb and Breakfast staff well done ye were so manerly and polite.
Staff very friendly and helpful and the location being so near to Portlaoise was excellent. We ate in Papa Noni's the first night and were delighted that such a gem of a restaurant is located so close to the hotel.

Modern hotel near to Portlaoise city center, with huge covered parking space and large rooms. Everything was clean, the room was warm and they also gave us complimentary water, tea and a couple of biscuits.
A well located hotel within Portlaoise. The staff were lovely, very polite and helpful. Comfortable room, with free unsecure wifi. Breakfast from 07.00am. Good traditional cooked breakfast for myself.
Great location, good value and very clean and comfortable! Little cereal boxes, tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc were a nice touch. Microwave, kettle , toaster all very useful.
