Location was close to everything but away enough from busy center. Room was immaculate. Attention and service was exquisite. Breakfast was delicious. Iliana the owner is a sweetheart, kind, communicative and responsive🌹She went out of her way to make me feel taken care of and welcomed. She even offered to take me and picked me up at the bus station. An hour and a half away from Hu Nal Ye😍. Will definitely stay here again!

Situated in Lanquín, 3.5 km from Semuc Champey, Utopia Eco Hotel has a garden and a terrace. Boasting ticket service, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. I wanted to stay close to the limestone pools and there are not too many options. So you can stay in that party hostel where you are not even allowed to bring your own food in, or at that place you have to do a long hike to get there and get 0 standard, or you just stay at Utopia - what a positive surprise, so uncomplicated, beautiful, with a feel in the middle of the jungle yet accessible and yes it's quite a long hike, but walking to the national park is also possible, which means you can stay as long as you like there, and likely a car will anyways pass by that will take you a bit. I liked Pia, the owner, the entire team was very positive, I liked the amazing shared open space to hang out or eat, which can compete with expensive upmarket accommodations. A library is available, boardgames too. You can join Yoga, there are more quite & more private spaces at the second floor. The river access is a beautiful extra, as much is the fireplace and the cacao grove. That you find a vegetarian kitchen in the middle of the jungle, which offers also a vegan option was a really positive surprise. The food was excellent with affordable prices. Hope to get back there and can stay a bit longer.

Great hotel for a night stay in Coban! Comfortable, excellent service and a great breakfast! Rooms are cozy, clean and hot showers. Breakfast is included and is delicious. You’re able to sit down and order from a menu with coffee included. Very friendly service, helped us find our bus to lanquin the next day
