I loved the location of the Nesea apartments, after visiting I would not want to be any closer to the port. This apartment was one street back from the water. It was quiet but also super close to everything. The breakfast took place at a restaurant near the water. It was wonderful and 100% worth including in our stay. Evi was super helpful and only a text or email away. I would stay here again if I get lucky enough to return to Hydra. We did 10 days in Greece and this was my favorite location.
Hydra
Great comms from the moment we booked and during our stay. The location was the draw for us booking this apartment- it was just perfect, easy reach of the bars, restaurants, harbour and beaches yet super quiet at night. We were only staying two nights so whilst the property wasn’t large, it was adequate for us and our stay. The little balcony was perfect for alfresco breakfast and pre-dinner drinks. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone staying on the beautiful island of Hydra.
Hydra
This was a great little place tucked right into Hydra - close to the port but still quiet. Andreas had everything that we needed available (including snorkeling gear and laundry facilities!) best of all Andreas was a warm and welcoming host who really cared about his guests. He is a great ambassador of the town, being the fifth generation owner of the mansion and showing us all of the history of his family. This was easily the best place that we stayed during our trip to Greece!
Hydra
Best location you can hope for! Keep in mind that Hydra is made of hills, so if you go up, you're gonna hate it 'cause going up and down everyday, multiple times per day with high temperatures is not gonna be easy. This is why Areti is amazing, 'cause it' just a couple of minutes from the harbour and right in the middle of the best places to go eat, drink and socialize. The room also has a big terrace (shared with the room next door) which is very cozy.
Hydra
The guesthouse is located within comfortable walking distance from the port (this is crucial on Hydra, as some locations which are more uphill can be difficult to get to, and you would likely need donkeys for the luggage). The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are cleaned every day and kept absolutely spotless. The ground floor apartments have lovely views. Beach towels are provided There is a pleasant terrace which can be used by all guests.
Hydra
We had the 2 bedroom apartment with a balcony that had sea views and is located on the port. Apartment recently renovated throughout and looks great. Brilliant location. Our host was Fabiana who was fantastic and provided many great recommendations for Hydra. Being at the port we could watch the workings of a port on an island that does not have any motor vehicles. The apartment is about a 3 minute work from where the ferry drops you off.
Hydra
Hotel Miranda is a magical retreat a few minutes walk up the hill from the main port of Hydra. The staff was wonderful, our rooms were lovely, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. It was so much fun to share the narrow cobbled streets of Hydra with many cats and a few people, and watch the donkeys carry goods to homes up the hillside. Hydra is a wonderful car- and bike-free island to explore for a few days by foot!
The bed was honestly the most comfortable bed I’ve experienced through all my travels in Greece. The staff was extremely friendly and even helped me with my luggage down the stairs and to the port! The property was also super close to the port, like a 2 minute walk, so you didn’t have to drag your suitcase super far on cobblestone. Made traveling so much more convenient. The hot tub also has a beautiful view of Hydra!
Hydra
The location was lovely and quiet with a couple of restaurants just steps away. A 10 minute walk from the harbor in a quiet residential area...perfect base for exploring Hydra town. Apartment simply and tastefully furnished with small balcony with sea view. Perfect for enjoying breakfast or a glass of wine (provided by our host Spyros!) Spyros was attentive and helpful with restaurant and beach recommendations...
Hydra
2 minutes walk from the port & many restaurants/cafes. Clear instructions from the Hotel how to find it made it very easy to reach it. Polite receptionists. Smooth Check-in. Quiet Peaceful Hotel. Pleasant Room, Comfortable Double bed, Good Bathroom. Little Fridge. Electric Kettle. Sufficient Daily Cleaning Service. Nice mountain view from the balcony. Great value for Money. Would stay if in Hydra again.
Hydra
We spent three special days in Ippokampos. The staff have been friendly and helpful on our request. The location is in the heart of the island life, near the port, all restaurants and bars. The breakfast is in the courtyard of the hotel, very nice and peaceful in the morning to have breakfast with the other guests. If you want to spend some restful days in Hydra we will definitely recommend Ippokampos.
Hydra
The apartment was set up perfectly for our family of four and was really an oasis from the heat and activity below at hydra port. We looked forward at the end of the day to returning to such a tranquil and comfortable spot. The host could not have been more helpful with recommendations and tailoring the stay to our specifications. I would definitely recommend the space to friends and family.
Hydra
Is a truly fantastic hotel offering a rich hydran experience. Totally worth walking the extra steps for the best views over the harbor. Rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. Most importantly Mrs Matina’s incredible energy, responsiveness, warm smile and wonderful recommendations for the most authentic experience really made our stay unforgettable. We will definitely be back!
Hydra
The room is located very close to the harbor and you don't have to carry the luggage very far. The location is ideal to visit the nearby restaurants, bars and shops. The owner if very polite, helpful and flexible in arrival times. They even turned on the water heater and A/C so I could have a hot shower upon arrival. Hotel Glaros is my prefered accomodation in Hydra.
Hydra
I’ve been coming to Hydra for 20 years and have stayed in many places. I have fond memories here when it was the quaint Hotel Argo. Such sweet people in this family have owned it for decades. The renovations are outstanding and if available I’d never stay anywhere else. Every little touch of comfort and beauty. The view of the port is unmatched.
Hydra
The Mistral Hotel is a little gem. Loaded with charm, breakfast on the patio, helpful staff. Our room was small, but adequate as we were not in it much! The beds were comfortable, and there was enough space to move around. We found water in the little refrigerator, which was a bonus. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hydra.
We really enjoyed staying at Angelica Hotel. It is located right near the center of Hydra, in a charming building and it has a very nice inner garden where breakfast is served. The rooms are spacious, very clean, with all expected features. The staff is very kind and always eager to help or to give good advice about local attractions.
Hydra is one of the most magical places we visited in Greece, and this property in the harbor was perfect for easy access to everything. The balcony was a great spot to relax and enjoy the view. We’d definitely stay here again. However, we did have some issues with the hot water. If not for that, it would be a 10/10 stay!
The Hotel location is excellent, situated in the port of Hydra and next to the ferry. We had a large family room which was perfect for a two night stay. The room was comfortable, clean and very good value for money. The hotel staff were also very helpful and views across the harbour from the hotel terrace, are splendid.
Hydra
The views are stunning . Lovely private apartment with a pool . Although there are steps the same could be said for a lot of property on the Island . Unless you’re keen to go to the beach you have no need to have all day . It is well equipped if you wish to self cater but is close to the numerous restaurants in Hydra .
