The first hotel, where they know how to do perfect eggs. Excellent pools and beach. Very clean rooms and all the facilities. Highly recommend this hotel!

Built in 1925 and classified as a monument, the GDM Megaron is located in the heart of Heraklion, overlooking the old Venetian port and within walking distance of all the major sights of the city. Super nice staff, sparkling clean room, creative breakfast selection and many small attentions that improved our stay. The hotel is walking distance from the ferry station and city center so very convenient even without a car.

The breakfast was excellent but what made the experience exceptional was the staff and a special acknowledgement to George and his breakfast team Despina and Sophia at the reception , Michalis, Danae, Antoni at the beach and Zacharias and Dino - they were all awesome . Our vacation ended with a special touch with an impeccable drive to the airport with Ari who invited us to his hometown and convinced us to return to Crete !
The staff was amazingly helpful with high hospitality and openness.
