Established in 1924, The Gleneagles Hotel is a prestigious resort in the heart of Scotland. Set within 850 acres, it offers 3 championship golf courses and an ESPA spa, along with a falconry school. Our whole stay at Gleneagles was wonderful…from the welcoming check in staff to every meal, everything was superb. The staff were genuinely friendly and wanted to do everything to make our stay exceptional. Highlights were the breakfast buffet, and the Andrew Fairlie restaurant.

What a superb stay: it really exceeded our expectations! The rooms were not only comfortable and cozy but also very beautiful. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, and the shower worked well. Even though we didn´t see the host, a letter had been left for us and it made us feel truly welcome. In addition, we would like to mention that Dunkeld is a beautiful place to explore by walking around, dining in restaurants, and visiting beautiful art galleries. Furthermore, a sublime bookstore with a remarkably well-chosen collection of books was literally next door – the place is called The Birnam Reader Bookshop and should be on every booklover's pocketlist.

Everything was perfect: king size and comfortable bed and a little space with sofa and table. We liked the most the big salon on the ground floor of the house with its chimney and chesters, where you can relax just reading or drinking something before the dinner. The breakfast was superb, served on the restaurant, quiet and with nice views to the gardens. We stayed there only for one night in our way to Isle of Skye, but we have liked to have spent more time there!
