Hotel in Lochgoilhead
As the center piece of Drimsynie Estate, this impressive hotel overlooks its own 9-hole golf course, plus Loch Goil and the Argyllshire mountains. In my view, with Drimsynie, Lochgoilhead is the best wee village in the World (I live in Greece, which has some cracking wee villages, and I have travelled a fair bit)! Drimsynie is an excellent place to go to for a long weekend or a longer holiday, with or without kids. Adults and kids of all ages will love it! There is so much to do and the staff are always willing to help! The surrounding scenery is breathtaking and whether you are golfing, walking, or sailing, you cannot help but be taking in by the majestic scene that is Lochgoil / Lochgoilhead, and the surrounding hills. As a holiday destination, Drimsynie is an ideal place for both active and relaxing holidays! We stayed in the hotel this time but I have also stayed in one of the lodges, and I would recommend both! This is a gem of a hotel and holiday destination!!
Hotel in Strachur
On the shores of Loch Fyne, The Creggans Inn offers rooms with beautiful Loch and garden views and a restaurant. Argyll Forest Park is just 5 minutes’ drive away. Great location, quiet, comfortable, great views, the staff was helpful, the food (we had dinner & breakfast) was delicious.
Hotel in Dunoon
With a scenic, tranquil location in Dunoon, The Park Hotel offers impressive sea views and stylish rooms. There is free parking and a traditional Scottish restaurant. Enjoyed our stay at the Park Hotel, beautifully clean room and well serviced, towels changed everyday and bedding every 2 days. Staff were brilliant and went above and beyond our expectations to make our stay perfect. Breakfast menu was varied and the food delicious and plentiful, as we were visiting family close to Dunoon our evenings were spent with them so did not have the opportunity to sample the dinner menu but it looked extremely good value with a wide choice of dishes. Overall a perfect stay, quiet area and a short walk both to town and ferry port and a very handy bus stop close by. Will definitely be booking for our next trip.

Royal Marine Hotel Dunoon is offering accommodations in Kirn. Built in 19th century, this 3-star hotel is within 6.4 miles of Benmore Botanic Garden and 8.5 miles of Blairmore and Strone Golf Glub. This pioneering young couple have taken on a massive job of returning this establishment to its former beauty. Room by massive room it’s being restored and it’s going to be amazing when they finish. We absolutely loved our stay here. Carpets, paint and the bathroom for room 9 are all almost new. The staff are all so friendly and made us feel so welcome. We enjoyed dinner in the bar and breakfast in the dining room.

Based myself here for 2 nights whilst walking the Cowal Way. Prices for hotels en route were unaffordable for a solo walker. Great location 5 minutes from the pier for ferries and buses. Single room was warm, had hot drinks and a TV. Ensuite small but functional Very reasonable price for a single walker. I don't normally eat at hotel restaurants but after the first night, decided it was so good value that I would eat there the second night. Italian/Spanish menu - good sized tasty portios at a very reasonable price.
Tighnabruaich
Beautiful location with stunning views from the good sized, very comfortable living room. Tastefully decorated and emaculately clean. Has everything you need in a well supplied kitchen. Bus service up the road so you can walk/run back to the apartment from various points along the Cowal and Loch Lomond Way. Friendly neighbour! 😀
A comfortable and welcoming Scottish country hotel, located in a most scenic area, providing an excellent level of service, including excellent cuisine. Located thirty minutes from Dunoon, so is handy for the Cowal Gathering.
The price was almost double the normal because of the Cowal games .we feel should that it was not in crease for the bus tours that we there .over all we were happy with the hotel and the view
Beautiful guest house where nothing is too much trouble. Kenny and his family made us feel welcome, we loved the personal touches and the food and service was excellent! Stunning location, highly recommended!
We decide to stop here on the way back from the isle of Mull rally and after 3 nights in a converted campervan I needed some luxury and what an absolutely stunning location, I opted for the room with balcony and views over loch fyne weather unfortunately meant we didn't use balcony but stunning never the less, food great and staff very friendly and attentive.
Views leisure centre, pool was brilliant , staff were very helpful can't fault them
Our stay at this hotel was excellent. The breakfast menu offered a wide selection of options and was cooked to perfection with wonderful ingredients. The hotel has a list of their food suppliers on display and this food provenance is reflected in the wonderful freshly cooked dinners we enjoyed. The main courses were all large portions and very satisfying. The bar had an excellent selection of scottish gins all well worth trying. The room was very comfortable and well appointed and very clean with plenty of tea and coffee supplies. The hosts Irene and Scott are very friendly and made us very welcome.
The owners were very friendly, breakfast was amazing .
We loved how rustic and natural the lodge felt for an outdoorsy couple. the living area was exceptionally cosy at night and the kitchen was easy to use as well.
We were in self catering accommodation.
