Merthyr Tydfil
Wonderful staff, all super friendly and couldn't be more accommodating with requests and help on the local area. We stayed in room 3 which was very clean and spacious and had a lovely view. The hotel is in a great location to explore everything the Brecon Beacons have to offer and is lovely and quiet which makes sleeping very easy and comfortable. Breakfast service was great and the food was fresh and filling. Really great little B&B and amazing value for money. We will definitely be going back and recommending to all.
Nice hotel in a historic building. Comfortable room with lots of character. Large bed, efficient heating (nights in Wales can be chilly!). Good breakfast. Nice staff, patient with our difficulties to understand the Welsh accent! We did not test the hotel's restaurant, but there is a cheap eatery just in front of the hotel and a few more in Tredegar. Tredegar is a good location to explore the Brecon Beacons. We booked the hotel at a discounted price, and for this price it was excellent value for money.
The Tower Hotel is in the centre of Talgarth and easy to find. I received a really warm welcome despite arriving drenched after cycling from Rhayader in heavy rain. The room far exceeded my expectations. I was able to dry my wet clothes, the shower was first rate. I had a really good nights sleep. In the morning I was given a hearty cooked breakfast which set me up for a hard day of cycling across the Brecon Beacons to Pontypridd. I will definitely stay at the Tower Hotel again.
Hay-on-Wye
A very relaxing stay in a very large room with a big bathroom (a separate bath and shower). A beautiful view of the Golden Valley, with sheep grazing behind the house. Breakfast is excellent (why stay in a hotel and pay extra?). A car is essential to make the most of the location, but Hay-on-Wye, the Brecon Beacons and South Herefordshire are easily reached. I can highly recommend a stay in a part of the UK slightly off the usual tourist tracks.
Richard and his wife were very welcoming! Super clean apartment with very comfortable beds!! Very accommodating! Great wifi and smart TV! Only a few minutes by car to a big shopping area (Cyfarthfa Shopping Park) and very close to Brecon Beacons - the reason we stayed at this flat! Whenever I am back to Brecon Beacons I will definitely come back to stay here!! Worth every penny! 100% recommended!
Pleasant staff. General all round very good cleanliness. A good cooked breakfast in the morning. Lovely carvery meal in the evening. Reasonable alternative meals available. Lift available for accessing the upper floor with suitcases. Excellent parking back and front of the hotel. Good base for visiting the Brecon Beacons and the lovely Brecon Mountain Railway
Brecon
David and Co were fantastic. We were made to feel very welcome when we arrived, nothing was too much trouble when we asked for something. Breakfast is excellent, the location of the hotel is great for getting into town and out into the Brecon Beacons. I am already planning another trip to the area and will use Castle Farm Guest House again.
Merthyr Tydfil

Short walk into town where there are lots of options of pubs this place is perfect! Highly recommend and will be staying again!
Merthyr Tydfil
The apartment is really spacious and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The location is also ideal with a large Tesco behind it and the bus station being a couple minutes away which was great for a hike in the Brecon beacons. I would definitely consider staying here again.
Merthyr Tydfil
2nd time staying at this accomodation and as per the 1st time we can't fault it, it's the perfect base for the Brecon Beacons, the 4 falls waterfall and Pen y Fan, the very fact me & the Mrs came back to this apartment tells you all need to know to just book it
The Castle Hotel is ideally located to explore the Brecon Beacons, easy walking distance to the local village and historic sites. The owner was very accommodating, the room was large and clean and the continental breakfast was excellent. I will certainly stay here again.
Abergavenny
The breakfast was delicious and great value for money, we didn't have any other meals at the hotel. The staff were fabulous and attentive! Location is great, for walking in town and going to the Brecon Beacons. The building dates to 16th centaury!
Merthyr Tydfil
Great location to explore the Brecon Beacons. Modern apartment with secure parking and extremely quiet in a residential area guaranteeing a great nights sleep. Effective heating and hot water so the place stayed warm during our stay.
Brecon
We liked that this lovely apartment was centrally located for everything we wanted to do while we were in The Brecon Beacons. We also liked being close to pubs (especially The Clarence), shops, and supermarkets.
Merthyr Tydfil
The apartment was clean, the bed was comfy, easy parking and helpful instructions from the host on how to find it. It's a good location for the Brecon Beacons and also a Tesco and take aways close by.
Merthyr Tydfil
Easy self check-in, nice accommodation to use as starting point for hiking in the Brecon Beacons. The kitchen is well equipped and the Apartment had enough space for 3 people.
The breakfast was very nice with thick bacon and proper sausages. The location was good and very picturesque, a good place to base yourself for days out the Brecon Beacons.
Fantastic hotel ideally located for the Brecon Beacons. Made to feel really welcome and the owners were super kind and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay and will be back.
