I booked on the same day as I arrived, and even though I showed up by her surprise, she was very welcoming. Absolutely one of the best little places I've stayed anywhere! It's a cosy little place with only a couple of rooms which open up to a lawn with an amazing view of the castle and the lake. The owner was so welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed getting to chat with her after breakfast and learning more about the area. It was more akin to being a welcomed guest in someone's home rather than just a customer as a hotel. I would absolutely stay there again!

I knew what I would be getting. The cottages are really old and basic, and offer no luxuries. This is fine for me. What I needed was a place to sleep. I swam in lake Saimaa every morning before starting my working day. The location is beautiful. I chose this over centre hotel to have a chance to swim in the lake straight from bed. They had rental bikes available. Not very good ones, but worked for getting to centre swiftly.

The location of the apartment is among the best, practically 20 m from Lake Saimaa. The apartment is spacious and clean, equipped with everything needed for those who need to cook and wash at home. We did not meet the owner, but the directions given to pick up the keys were very precise and on time, and the exchanges of information with the owner were very friendly
Nice and spacious familyroom, with a sitting area and good beds (also the extra beds for the kids). Very clean room, friendly staff. Great location, close to the castle and right in the middle of town. The boats for the tours on lake Saimaa are just around the corner. Parking garage available. Delicious breakfast, with a lot of choice.
Hotel Lähde is a really relaxing place at an amazing situation next to Saimaa. Next time I take my room towards water. Now had a room to the street. Great noise insulation, so traffic didn't disturb at all. Personal was great with one exception.

Very beautiful apartment with easy access to the lake Saimaa, a bit far away (approx 25 min to Lappenranta) but apart from that the owner was very nice and helpful. I wished we could have spent more than one day there.

The ambience of the place is what I liked the most here. A bit away from the highway by the lake amid the picturesque landscape of Punkaharju, the resort is among the perfect places if you are looking for a place to unwind. The Punkaharju ridge and the nature trails in Lusto area are just a few kilometres away - you can either walk or rent a bike from the reception. Apart from this, one can participate in a number of leisurely activities. The resort also has an aquatic park and rope park close by. For food you can visit their restaurant or even cook in the kitchen if you are camping. Talking of camping, they have quite a large area for pitching tent or parking caravan. Other options to stay include cottages. I stayed in one of the small economy cottages with two beds. It was decently size with a refrigerator and a microwave a couple of chairs outside. Given the size of the cottage it does not include any closet but has a shelf to keep stuffs. Finally, before I forget, I need to mention the staff who were very helpful and always served with a smile.
The cottage is amazing The location is fantastic, with a an amazing view to the lake, it's a real fairy tale experience ....enjoy the sauna in the cottage!
