Situated in central Hämeenlinna, this hotel is 15 minutes’ walk from the medieval Häme Castle. It offers an on-site restaurant and pub. Access to a sauna and indoor swimming pool is free. Breakfast was excellent! We got confused about the parking, got little lost. Parked in the cities parking lot (3min walk) that was free of charge on Saturdays night and Sunday.

Situated in Hämeenlinna, 47 km from Lahti Railway Station, Ainola features accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Extraordinary place. Is has served as working camp during wartime, rehabilition facilyty later. Like combination of hospital and farmhouse. Property is really large located in Finnish coutryside, very peacefull and very comfotable beds you dont find even expensive hotels. I got even warm sauna in the evening. This exellent location if you are travelling long distancies north south direction.

Boasting a sauna, Guesthouse Solbacka Iittala is situated in Hämeenlinna. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. We enjoyed the calm, the garden, the sauna and the feeling of being away from it all. The peace and quiet were also amazing and we enjoyed having coffee on the porch. It is totally self-catering although if you don’t fancy cooking there are some places in the village itself where you can eat. It is easy to travel to Tampere and South to Hameenlinna too though you need to be aware that the trains aren’t that frequent. Host very friendly and happy to talk.
