This property was lovely, I really appreciate how homely it felt. The rooms were spacious. The bathroom a bit tricky that one. There’s a ski resort not too far from the hotel you can literally walk over there. There’s a restaurant at the slope area and in the hotel but the one at the hotel at the time of my stay was not open until Thursdays. The staff was amazing and the breakfast was top notch. I really enjoyed my stay and I’m looking forward to coming back.

Dating back to the 1800s, this charming manor is found in the Finnish Lake District, 7 km from Mikkeli. It offers an award-winning restaurant and elegant rooms with garden views. Breakfast at Tertti, at least until now, is the best Breakfast I had in all my life. So exquisite, fresh, and rich. Salmon, different sort of breads, butter, scrambled eggs (special made), different sorts of fish, different sorts of cheese, and much more, the majority of this treats, elaborated by them, at the Kartano (country house in Finnish). Special mention for Tertti's special Porridge which is from another world, so yummy, just for that, its is worth to pay a visit to this establishment. Staff is very kind, helpful, they make you feel as you would be at home, from the receptionists, the waitresses, the gardener, to the owner, who has been so helpful, giving us extra information about our interests on Finland, and always being concerned about our wellbeing. It is located not far away from Mikkeli, a reasonable size city, and at a stone throw of huge forests and lakes.

Peacefully located on Lake Nuasjärvi, this hotel offers a private beach with a jetty. Free access to the gym and one sauna for men and one sauna for women are included. The location is absolutely beautiful. The view from the patio and dining room exceptionally so. We checked in and were offered a room on a floor accessible only by stairs. I had not requested any consideration for mobility issues in advance, but when I advised the check in staff member of my husband's mobility issues, she immediately arranged to provide us a room on the ground floor. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful with all kinds of options. Dinner was excellent as well. The staff were, without exception, attentive and helpful.

Nice small town in a fantastic part of eastern Finland, with many close lakes and other attractions.
The only reason for most people to go there is the opera festival. Otherwise it's a small city in eastern Finland that happens to have a mediaeval fortress on its doorstep. The area is beautiful though, and I suppose would be good for outdoor activities, particularly canoeing and fishing. But we go for the opera, which is always worth the trip. (Er, young couples like us? A pair of old crocks, more like.)
The swimming pool for the kids was nice. The kids liked it a lot.

I enjoyed the breakfast as well as the location of the breakfast hall. The location of the resort is wonderful. I liked seeing the frozen expanse of the immense lake and can only imagine its sheer beauty in summer.

The front desk was extremely friendly and accommodating of our needs. While the hotel is dated, the location was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms and bed linens were very clean as well.
What can I say! This was my 4th stay at Sahanlahti and as every time, my only big mistake was to have stayed just 1 night. The location by the lake is just beautiful, the rooms are so well done and have a friendly, welcoming vibe, the staff are helpful, the breakfast on a terrace in the morning is a treat. During the day there are other people around visiting the facilities, and there is a small harbor for a few boats, but it all comes together to being one place of life and relaxed enjoyment and nature. For me, it does good to my stressed soul every time I stay there. Highly recommended.
I like the swimming pool and smoked sauna. Breakfast buffet was very good.
The cottage was perfect. Located in a stunning location by the lake and surrounded by trees and forest, it's the perfect spot to experience a proper Finnish summer vibes. Our cottage had plenty of room for 6 people and a beautiful porch where to enjoy your breakfast/ dinner in the nature. City center is just 5/ 10mins away by car; there's a supermarket too in the nearby.

Everything was excellent. The room was cozy and very comfortable. It has everything, what can be needed during the stay. The quality of the internet connection was very good. The room was beautifully decorated. If you come to pray, you can not bring your own icons, since the room has one big icon.
The very well designed and very clean bathrooms and sanitary facilities. The cabins were of the right size and the beds were very comfortable. The entire area is beautiful and the staff is nice and was very helpful.
