A very unusual experience - staying in a posh beautifully renovated mansion felt like a treat. The breakfast was delicious, and they also have a well rated restaurant inside.

Palacio De Trasvilla is in Escobedo De Villafufre, in the Cantabrian countryside, a 30-minute drive from Santander Airport. It features an outdoor pool, and offers free parking and free Wi-Fi. A very nice step back in time, with a really nice and friendly host. The building is 300 years old with character, so be aware that it is not a modern hotel. But we went for the old-world look and we weren’t disappointed. Highly recommended for anyone who likes the quality of life. We’d definitely visit again.

Incredibly beautiful house, lovingly restored/maintained. Ana is really really kind and takes care of any and all needs. It's also lovely and quiet whilst very close to the town center.

Pretty much what one should expect from a 4 star hotel/spa. Clean, quiet, comfortable with a fancy old-fashioned bar, adequate restaurant and attentive staff

Nice quiet location. Room was spacious. Bed very large. Staff were all nice, especially Raul, who was extremely helpful.

Villa Arce Hotel offers a shared garden, a terrace and free WiFi throughout in Puente Viesgo. Suances Beach is 30 minutes’ drive away and Santander is 40 km away. Excellent location, quiet, clean and very friendly and helpful staff

La Cabaña María features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in San Roque de Ríomiera, 45 km from Santander Port. With garden views, this accommodation provides a patio. Nick,Kate & baby Gabriel gave us a very warm welcome. The house is beautiful, situated in a gorgeous valley with stunning views. Ideal base for visiting the area.
