Featuring a bar, Ibis Barcelona Castelldefels is located in Castelldefels in the Catalonia region, 1.9 km from Castelldefels Beach and 2.3 km from Gava Beach. The room was a good size with plenty of space to move around and work in. It was simple, without clutter, and was well looked after. The room was east facing and had a great view of the castle up on the hill. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to. More so because I don't speak Catalan or Spanish. The continental style breakfast was consistently of a high standard. The property is surrounded by an unobtrusive security fence and the staff provide the entry code upon arrival. I expect this will provide some guests with a sense of reassurance, even though the neighbourhood is safe and pleasant. The hotel is directly opposite the entrance to Ànec Blau, a large shopping centre with a supermarket, which is great for restaurants and shops.
