Schlosshotel Brilon-Wald

Hotel in Brilon-Wald

Set in Brilon-Wald, 28 km from Kahler Asten, Schlosshotel Brilon-Wald offers accommodation with a terrace, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The room was amazing and the staff as well (especially Stefi). The view of the room facing the road is amazing in winter conditions but comes at the cost of hearing some car/truck noises during the night (depending on your sleep type). The food both at the breakfast and in the evening at the restaurant are amazing.

BUITERLING Hotel

Hotel in Brilon

Set in Brilon, within 37 km of Kahler Asten and 44 km of Marienplatz Paderborn, BUITERLING Hotel offers accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private... Best breakfast I've ever had! Seriously - EVER! There was everything you could possibly want, most of it homemade, everything so beautifully presented and very generous with the added bonus that you were given a little bag so you could take what you couldn't manage with you for lunch! A very nice touch. I also loved the smell of the place. Lovely and fresh (a bit spa-like) yet very natural and not at all obtrusive. The decor was spot on - not too much, not too little and everything was spotless. Well done Hotel Buiterling! I learned that you had a difficult start having just opened 6 weeks before Covid started so congratulations on keeping afloat and I wish you every success. I would definitely stay again if I returned to Brilon.

FAQs about hotels in Sauerland

Something For All Outdoor Lovers

The peaceful and rural Sauerland lies across the south-east part of Germany's North Rhine-Westphalia and spreads on both sides of the region’s 2 major rivers: the Ruhr and Lenne. With over 30,000 km of marked hiking trails, and plenty of ski and water sports facilities, the Sauerland is a dreamland for the outdoor sports lover.

Not only does the region have an abundance of mountain biking routes, it also features the famous bobsleigh track in Winterberg and ski jump arena at Willingen. All that adds to Sauerland being the most popular tourist region in this part of Germany.

Though most of this region is sparsely inhabited, it still has some picturesque cities and villages to visit and in which to enjoy some local cuisine and beer. Germany’s largest privately owned brewery, Warsteiner, is located in one of them - Warstein. Other bigger cities include Iserlohn, Ludenscheid and Arnsberg.

This old industrial region is recently showing its new, more nature-friendly face. Due to its densely forested landscape, Sauerland has been chosen as the first place in this part of Europe to reintroduce the Wisent, also called the European bison.

Whether you’re looking for a hotel in Willingen or a guest house in Winterberg, Booking.com offers more than 400 properties for your perfect Sauerland holiday.
