I booked the hotel because it was one of the cheapest I could find close to the center. It turned out to be the best hotel in town, perfectly located close to shopping, restaurants, train station, culture and sights. To be honest, Duisburg is not a very touristic place, but it was a good starting point to do excursions to other places in the Ruhr area, which has many other cities very nearby. I was feeling lucky, getting a very good room at a low price. The room was good, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom nice.
Since I have given this very hotel a couple of reviews already (hint to the dear people at booking.com ... ), I will be brief: The breakfast was very good. The hotel is quiet, and the location is almost rural, although in the middle of the Ruhr area.

We had an excellent experience during our stay. The rooms were cozy, modern and spacious. The large bathroom was a highlight, featuring both a bathtub and a shower, along with two sinks, which made it very convenient. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this hotel.

I choose this hotel every time because I like the way my requests are resolved and the kindness of the staff. But what I like most is that breakfast is delicious and can be taken until 11 o'clock.....so I don't have to get up early to eat something. Nice quiet place with great service and comfortable rooms. From now on it will be on my favourites list. I will be happy to come back here. Update: i had not enough time to write more so doing it right now: Room: small 2 person room but very comfortable with nice large bed and well equipped bathroom. Food: i had a chance to stay for breakfast only but I think it was enough to have some opinion about it. Well, food quality is awesome: everything is really tasty, fresh and well served. Comparing to 4 star hotel in Amsterdam I think cook and staff in Hotel Haus Duden should receive 6 stars just for food. Parking spaces: plenty, considering size of this hotel. Placement: Nice quiet area, all surrounded by trees and silence. Really place I would like to come back for rest and charge up again. Hotel offer bike rent, massage and has plenty of space to organize trainings, conferences , etc. Everything at countryside, far away from city noise with comfort and kindness of staff. Can you imagine more comfort ? Hotel was introduced as a 4 star but I think it deserve 6. Seriously. I really felt there as a special guest, like everybody else, I think.
When we checked in we were meet by a super nice receptionist, an elderly man. Dinner was super and the breakfast was fantastic. and super nice staff.

Cozy house, we couldn't make use of the front and back terrace due to bad weather but they looked very attractive and with good weather it must be amazing. The rooms are extremely spacious with plenty storage space and radiate an amazing atmospehre.
