Very welcoming and friendly host. Location is also excellent, the hiking routes start right in front of the hotel.

Haus Stehlings features views of the Old Town of Monschau. The guest house provides guests with free WiFi and is located a 1 hour drive from Cologne. Spacious apartment on the top floor of a very old building in the heart of historic Monschau (spoiler: no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage up some very uneven old staircase - living in history has its downsides for some, not for us). Good explanation of check-in procedure, everything in this town is only a few footsteps away. Another spoiler: you have to park in a parking garage about 250 m away from the property, but back then they did not build for cars in the heart of a city. Monschau itself is as beautiful as shown on the pictures - well preserved buildings, but modern inside. No kitchen, as that might cause problems with fire safety, but a fridge, water cooker and coffee maker. And "Printen" (a local and very good specialty) as a nice welcome on the beds.

The balance between price and quality was exceptional. Our room offered a breathtaking view of the vibrant square by the river, with charming sights of the church and red house. The spacious room and bathroom, complete with a relaxing bath, provided a touch of luxury. Despite the proximity to a nearby waterfall, the well-insulated windows ensured minimal disturbance. Additionally, we had the fortune of being there during a delightful music evening, which we could enjoy from the comfort of our room. The breakfast was delightful and perfectly complemented the overall experience.

Heimbach
Beautiful modern apartment with a lovely café downstairs from the same owners. There is a small kitchenette with everything you need and a new bathroom with a big shower. The whole apartment was spotless. Excellent position in the lovely town of Heimbach, close to the starting point of many hiking routes in the Eifel National Park. The surroundings are wonderful, full of green, with the fascinating river that runs alongside Heimbach and the park. We enjoyed our stay very much!
Monschau
Clean, comfortable, modern and spacious apartment. Has everything that you need! Great location, a quiet neighborhood and Monschau, Aachen and Eifel National Park are just a 15/30 minute drive away. Also many supermarkets within a 5 minute drive (Kaufland, Lidl, Real...) Would definitely consider to visit again. Tip: The hike from Kermeter Paulushof parkplatz to the Urfstaumauer.
Heimbach
The main purpose was to visit Monschau, and here to the city was just an hour. On the way, we enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the Eifel national park was so green! On the second day, we hiked around the town! You must visit "Abtei Mariawald"!! The hotel was so nice, clean, quiet and histiocytic! We bought honey from the owner, that was delicious!!
Heimbach
We arrived via the restaurant and were immediately checked in. The host also offered to book us at their restaurant for dinner. The apartment was very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. We ended up eating at the restaurant both evenings as the food was delicious! Bonus: The accommodation is located 8 min drive from the Eifel National Park.
Einruhr
The apartment was new and very clean. We had all the facilities we needed. Very comfortable for a family - 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, big balcony, simply everything you need. Very quiet and the location was very central to visit the Eifel national park. I would highly recommend it for families.
We went to Der Seehof in October and the surrounding Eifel National Park looked amazing with all the autumn colours. The hotel is in a great location with terrific views. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff very freindly

Poul was a great host. The apartment is spacious and is located perfectly to explore Eifel National Park. The small garden behind the house is perfect to sit and relax. And is was very nice that our dog was more than welcome.

Kloster Steinfeld offers accommodation in a monastery, which I believe is run by members of the monastic order. However, we were staying in a new modern room, with a great bathroom, minibar, good wifi-connection and safe. We asked for possibilities to have dinner in the Kloster and for € 13 we able to enjoy a really nice buffet-dinner with salads, assorted bread and a choice of two warm dishes. We had the local wine and the Steinfelder Klosterbier (recommended if you like beer) The other patrons were 'hotel guests' like us, but also people staying there for a longer period. It was great, with such a nice atmosphere. If you stay here, ask if you can join the dinner. Breakfast was also very good, with lots of variety. Ample parking space in the grounds of the Kloster.
