Lovely breakfast with some nice local specialties (adored the garlic soup). The play pit for children is amazing, as you can easily enjoy a drink while they play. All staff members I met were pretty fluent in English. Beautiful area to go for walks/runs, and there are some nice villages and attractions nearby (be sure to check out the Celtic/medieval archeological park.

Located in Zvíkovské Podhradí, this hotel is 20 minutes’ walk from Zvíkov Castle, at the junction of the Vltava and Otava rivers. It offers a restaurant and an outdoor pool. The breakfast was basic but did have quite a few options. Location ideal.

Boasting a garden, a terrace as well as a shared lounge, Ivanek guest house is situated in Zvíkovské Podhradí, 1.9 kilometers from Zvíkov Castle. Free WiFi is available. The property was peaceful with beautiful landscaping. We stayed here for two nights as we recovered from jet lag and the facilities were wonderful for that. Breakfast was good, and very safe parking. there was a castle a mile away that we explored and then a grocery store not too far of a drive away.
