El Zaino
The photos don't do this Hostel justice, the gardens around the huts and the surrounding mountain are amazing. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the pool is decent, and the food is great. Getting the bus to Tayrona National Park was super easy too, wait on the main road for next bus (blue, white, and green, running every 10/15 minutes) and be at the main park entrance in 7 minutes. Would also recommend going to Mendihuaca beach (pronounced mendy-whacker), use the same bus as Tayrona, just a few stops further down.
Los Naranjos
This place was beautiful and relaxing. The hotel feels more like an upscale B&B as the ladies running the place are always there for whatever you need. It has an on-site restaurant where we had breakfast and dinner both nights. The pool was incredibly nice to help soothe our legs after hiking over 8 miles in Tayrona National Park (which is only 5 minutes away by car). The hotel itself is in a complex of 8 hotels which all have their own facilities. We enjoyed the tiki bar (Sierra Bar) at the nearby Maloka Lodge as well.
Great hostel and concept! Amazing location with beautiful views. Happy hour cocktails were a lovely treat after hiking 2 days in Tayrona National Park. I was happy with the dorm room I had booked, so when I won an upgrade to a wonderful private cabin I was super super happy 😃. Apparently the owners do this if there’s a free cabin. What a unique and lovely touch! Special thanks to Michelle on reception - helpful and friendly! Wi-Fi was great in the area above reception and I was able to have a work call no problem.
Full relaxation! An idyllic place with great chill out area to do ‘nothing’ by the sea & the pool. Maybe just get an awesome massage from Alexandra (so much better than the one I got in Cartagena!). Good variety of food and drinks, so you can just stay there or walk over to the other places further down the beach if you want to explore. I also used this hotel as a starting point to visit Tayrona National Park. They offer that and a whole bunch of various other activities if you get tired of sitting still.
El Zaino
Very friendly staff who also speak English (exceptional in Colombia!). We could safely store our luggage when we went to Tayrona National Park for a few days. Nice pool, beautiful view! Nice food too, a bit of everything. We could even eat in the room where they even brought us a table and chairs. Super! Free water, coffee and tea. Location is good: 5 minutes by local bus to the entrance of Tayrona National Park. We also took a nice walk one day; towards the river and to the beach. Recommended to do!
Nice stay at Senda. Staff all very friendly. Swimming pool was nice and big and grounds to hotel generally very nice. Cocktails on site were nice too. Breakfast was pleasant although not one of the best we had in Colombia. Rooms were nice and spacious with a large bathroom too. Was nice to have a balcony area. Location great, within 10min walk to Tayrona national park entrance. Internet was patchy in some areas of the communal spaces but wasn’t an issue for us.
Los Naranjos
What a great eco-lodging experience! Unique cabanas open on the sea with incredible views! Excellent food at the restaurant. The terrace of the dining room has a spectacular view on the rio (you can see caimans) and on the sea. Staff very helpful, and bilingual (not so frequent in Colombia). Great massages at the spa on site. The pool is super pleasant. Perfect location for visiting the Tayrona National Park, only a 5 min drive away.
Los Naranjos
Maria is one of the best hosts we have ever met. She is very kind, too informative and helpful. Her hotel is very clean, comfortable and the location is fantastic as it’s too close to the Tayrona National Park entrance. Thanks to her, she even planned one of our days around the park. Last but not least, the water is provided to the guests for free which is very rare in the entire country. Even this shows me how mindful Maria is.
Villa Yira is a beautiful, family owned place. Its managed in a very personalised / chill way and this creates a cosy atmosphere. We were really impressed by the cabins that they built. The location is ideal for trips to/from Tayrona national park. Amazing swimming pool & The owners were super flexible - thanks for having us, Hanna & Octavio!
El Zaino
Location is good. Only a couple of minutes to the main entrance of Tayrona national park and there is a bus stop outside the hotel that takes you directly there. Facilities are great and the food at the restaurant was very tasty. The room is a comfortable size with plenty of storage and good air con. They also offer to clean your room daily. Would recommend

This hostel was amazing. Friendly staff. Beautiful open air private room. A little tough to adjust to sleeping in the open so keep that in mind when booking. Family dinners were amazing. Pool sunsets with happy hour was so fun. Good music playing, not too loud. Perfect place to stay. Mini mart right next door. 20 min walk to Tayrona National park entrance.
Absolutely loved our stay! The staff were so friendly, the best service we had in Colombia. The food was delicious, especially the French toast! It’s a perfect location if you want to visit Tayrona National park. The calibre of this hotel is high for this area, highly recommend! We would love to go back in a heart beat.
This hotel is beautiful. It is an oasis in the lush jungle, with gorgeous views from the pool, restaurant and bar. Each bungalow has a dip pool. The location is 5 min. drive from Tayrona National Park, 40 min. to Santa Anna, close to beaches, and other activities. Very clean, the staff is personable and nice.

Very nice and helpful staff. In the morning they even take you to the entrance of tayrona national park by car. The breakfast was very good and the terrace was very nice. I liked the look of the hostel in general. The shared kitchen was totally fine with a nice sitting area.

Cute Hotel with nice little huts on the way up. The dorm was at the top with a wonderful view. You're pretty near to the entrance of the tayrona national park (about 20' by foot). There was some noise from the highway, just bring some earplugs and you'll be fine.
Located practically at the main road to Tayrona National Park, the hostel is well situated so that you don't really hear the traffic. Staff is friendly and breakfasts are tasty (choice of 4 options). Beautiful swimming pool with clean water. Friendly cat as a bonus :)
This is an absolutly hidden "gem" in Colombia's Tayrona National Park; the location, setting and service exceeded our expectations. The food was marvelous; the bar next to the beach has a perfect location to watch and enjoy the sundown.
