Our overnight stay at the Evening Sail Bed and Breakfast was just what we needed on our journey around Nova Scotia!!! Some comfort, some relaxation and some inspirational conversation over a delicious breakfast!!!
Shelburne is one of several lovely little towns along Nova Scotia's Atlantic coast. Take a drive out the coastal road, stroll around the town, just enjoy it all. No traffic, no pressures, (but restaurants are in short supply).
Tourist trap big time..Limited parking venues are priced out of site...Scenery is beautiful and the village fathers know it..The Motel we had the issue with didn,t answered either of my two emails to them...We shall bypass Baddeck in any future trips to Nova Scotia
Fabulous historic buildings. Great restaurants. Beautiful environment like all of south shore of Nova Scotia! Built on hill overlooking harbour. Lots of buzz. One of our favourite places to visit, along with Mahone. Bay.
Salt Shaker restaurant/bar had great meals. No 9 coffee shop had best coffee and hot chocolate we have had in Nova Scotia. Great meal at the Knot Pub. Lovely town to walk around with a beautiful harbour.
The Dauphinee Inn is a lovely spot to serve as your home base while exploring the many attractions of Nova Scotia's fabulous south shore. You are just a few minutes walk from the gorgeous Hubbards Beach and the iconic Shore Club (lobster suppers in early evening and popular Saturday night dances with live music). The Hubbards Barn Saturday morning market and Hubbards antique stores are fun to visit as well. For the hiker or cyclist there are miles of beautiful trails within walking distance. The popular seaside towns of Chester and Mahone Bay are also just a short drive away.
We have traveled around Nova Scotia for many years and always love going back to Halifax to shop and take in the sights and sounds of the city
One of our favourite places in Nova Scotia. It has beautiful architecture, much of historic interest, an excellent nature trail, historic gardens, and even a tidal power plant which is fascinating to visit. There are also some good restaurants. The town makes a good base for visiting other areas of interest on day trips - for example, Bear River and Kejimkujik National Park.
Great times with good people in an awesome town. Just like when I lived there. Miss Nova Scotia and will always need to visit to satisfy my fix.
Great place if you enjoy nature, stunning views, seafood, peace and quiet. There are lots of scenic hikes and drives in this area and great food, lots of history like the rest of Nova Scotia as well, worth a visit, we will definitely be back.
We stayed here just as Hurricane Fiona hit Nova Scotia so we had driven from Cape Breton. The staff were incredible given the upheaval as a result of the wind & rain. They provided a breakfast the morning after the storm ( despite power being out) , and then later in the day sandwiches & soup when everything was closed . The staff at the Prince Hotel were cheerful and made the effort to come in and help despite many having their own homes without power. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough given our experience.
Great location in a lovely part of Nova Scotia. The hotel is a bit rustic, but very comfortable with a beautiful view. Great base for seeing the island and an easy walk into town. The restaurant was closed, but fortunately, we were prepared with food and the fridge and coffee maker in the room were invaluable. (The hotel had contacted us about the restaurant closure, but I hadn't read the email!)
Super comfortable bed, soft but not too soft, slept like a baby. The view of the ocean is beautiful! Sat in the window and watched the waves, very relaxing. Very clean, large room. Vince was helpful in trying to give me ideas on what to do as all of the trails were closed because of the fires in Nova Scotia. Really enjoyed the openness of the room.
The overall atmosphere of this property is very special - the food was very good, the building itself is beautiful, although the rooms and bathrooms (it was originally a railway hotel) are small. The area is very picturesque, in Nova Scotia's Annapolis Basin on the Bay of Funds.
Port Hood
The landlady is awesome. She helped with reservations and had great tips what to do. She even called our next hotel to confirm our reservation. A NICE AND WELL KEPT GEM UNDER THE B&B's The breakfast was the best we had in the last couple of days here in Nova Scotia.
The staff was excellent. We only stayed one night and had dinner in the on-site hotel restaurant, we sat at the bar and Ahmad the bartender was friendly and engaging and very talented with his creation of drinks it was a wonderful start to our vacation in Nova Scotia.
Yarmouth
I stayed for three nights and must say my stay was excellent. Everyone at the hotel go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable. Just beyond. Very helpful in recommending places to eat and to visit. I recommend LakeLawn a must stay on visiting Nova Scotia.
less costly than other hotels in the area. the breakfast area was comfortable and pleasantly decorated with a Nova Scotia feel. basic breakfast and presentation was well thought out. perhaps having instant oatmeal packets would be nice.
The hotel is very convenient to the CAT Ferry. The rooms are comfortable and I could even see the water from my side-facing room. Would have liked to have had breakfast there in the morning, but it was a bad day... in all of Nova Scotia.
Baddeck
The room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. The bathroom was large. The garden on the grounds was beautiful. The hotel is close to town. We stayed at five different places in Nova Scotia and this was our favorite.
It was conveniently located next to the highway so if you’re heading out and just need a quick stop before exploring Nova Scotia, it serves its purpose. The staff were friendly and helpful.
good location. Great customer service. Staff were very welcoming, extremely helpful . We spent a week touring Nova Scotia staying in 5 different hotels, this was by far the best.
Excellent value for money -very large apartment with exceptional views through the floor to ceiling windows. Close to downtown Halifax but also main routes out into Nova Scotia.
Larrys River
Restaurant was the best we have had in Nova Scotia. For the breakfast we would wish us Müsli or fruits, but we know, we are in Canada and not in Europe.
Property was ok. The staff did their best under difficult conditions as the storm in Nova Scotia flooded their hotel. Not their fault of course
The hotel was very clean, I stay in 4 Hotels in Nova Scotia and this was the most clean hotel, the bed super comfy. The sfaff are very nice.
The Westin Nova Scotian was in a great location. The room was spacious and the hotel was well maintained.
Very conveniently located, minutes from Nova Scotia/Newfou ferry terminal. Friendly staff.
