Edmundston is in Northern New Brunswick, quite close to the Quebec border. The primary language spoken is French. So, despite the fact that NB is officially a bilingual province, I always feel a little uncomfortable in Edmundston when I deal with restaurant, gas bar and retail staff, because they address me first in French, and then seem to switch reluctantly to English. Can't blame them, I guess; but Edmundston does rely on a certain amount of tourism, and service staff should be made aware of this habit.
I love the casino Magic Mountain Zoo plenty activities there it still doesn't Dawn to me why they didn't make it the capital city of New Brunswick with all the attraction in has ,because Fredericton has NOTHING!!! Anyways Moncton is Very friendly. Only thing i dont like its way too big and traffic a bit much but great for travel wouldn't want to live there.
Moncton is an amazing city (actually part of Greater Moncton including Dieppe and Riverview). It is home to the Petitcodiac River (Chocolate River) which demonstrates the mighty Bay of Fundy tides daily as the water rises with the tidal bore and empties twice a day. Amazingly friendly people, wonderful food (including but not limited to seafood) and a wealth of English, French/ Acadian backgrounds along with many others from away. New Brunswick is a bilingual province and this is most comfortably demonstrated in Moncton where both languages are shared and spoken throughout the communities. The location puts it in the middle of so much. The Bay of Fundy and Fundy National Park and Hopewell Rocks is a short drive one way. Shediac and its beaches are a short drive the other way. Quebec City is about 7 hours west, PEI and Charlottetown are 2 1/2 hours via the Confederation Bridge is another direction and Halifax, Nova Scotia or a ferry to Newfoundland and Labrador is 2 hours in a third direction. We have a wonderful International airport so easy access to the rest of Canada and the world. Things to do: - eat lobster or lobster rolls - visit Magnetic Hill - see your vehicle get pulled up the hill - visit the zoo or waterslide - walk, run or bike the wonderful trail system throughout the cities (info at city hall websites or perhaps join a run from the Running Room) - try rope courses at Centennial Park with Treego - enjoy a very reasonably priced round of golf at any one of many fine golf courses throughout the area. - visit Casino New Brunswick for a game of chance or to take in any one of its many performer visits
One could spend a day at the New Brunswick Museum; guides are eager to share their enthusiasm and knowledge! Rockwood Park is a fabulous place to walk. Food at the Grannan's was exquisite (not cheap but worth it).
Deadsville New Brunswick. No food, nothing to do. Can only get to lake if camping or on private land. Some good views but Cambridge Narrows is better Ferry to Gagetown has gone..
Relaxed holiday town not far from the border of Maine and New Brunswick. Great location along the banks of the Bay of Fundy. One gets to experience the changing of the tides and the ambience of a small holiday town. Really loved Kingsbrae Gardens!
Great central location for exploring New Brunswick. Lots of nice restaurants - our favourite was Gusto Italian Grill & Bar. We explored the Acadian Coastal Trail, Fundy National Park and Hopewell Rocks is absolutely worth a visit. The centre of Moncton is very walkable and the city itself and surrounding area are easy to drive round.
It's central location to other interesting parts of New Brunswick and Maine made it appealing. The countryside was wonderful especially the colors of the changing leaves in fall.
At this time of year, town was very quiet. Weather too cold for outdoor fun but could see how wonderful it could be. Gardens, museums closed now for season..visit to St John- city market and New Brunswick museum . Only hour away.
We were just passing through on our way to St Johns New Brunswick just stayed one night. We didn’t really see places we ate a the restaurant in the travel loge it has just opened they have great food highly recommend it.
We after driving 12 hours from Kingston Ontario to St. John New Brunswick were expecting a much cleaner hotel. The pictures on the net are deceiving. The room was small, smelled bad and the the pool and hot tub were disgusting! So much foam around the hot tub, during a time period when we are all worried about getting the virus. I think you need to hire cleaning staff.
It is my favourite hotel to stay at in New Brunswick by far, the facilities are top tier, very clean and unique, I have stayed here multiple times and have had a fabulous experience every single time. Our room was gorgeous, it had a balcony and a beautiful view of the city, it is close to various amenities like pumphouse brewing!
Such an amazing hotel in a beautiful town, St. Andrews. An amazing way to end our tour of Nova Scotia, heading back through New Brunswick to the States. Would love to have spent the whole week there. Great place for a week long stay.
Saint Leonard
The motel was very accommodating and very welcoming. I would recommend to this hotel for an overnight stay as you're travelling through New Brunswick to your destination. Book ahead of time as this site can fill up quickly.
Located right off the TransCanada, perfect cross the Quebec/New Brunswick stop over to rest up & Gas up and feed your munchies for the next morning drive. It’s important that it’s dog friendly too!🙌🐾
New hotel near a casino and conference center at Edmundson. Everything functioned properly. Good breakfast. A good layover while driving to southern New Brunswick.
This lovely hotel was an unexpected find in our travels up the New Brunswick Coast. We enjoyed our river view room!
people are very accommodating and kind
Staff was amazing and rooms were clean!
I love that you check in and don’t have to leave for anything. Meals are on site. Entertainment is on site.
It's a great place to stay in a good Location, rooms and Parking. Right next to mall
Food from the restaurant was great , staff was friendly and full of info about the area, and the pool was a great way to relax after the day.
Large property with beautiful view.
I loved the location. Although the cottage was small, it had everything needed and was very efficiently arranged. I also really liked all the woodwork.
