A few kilometres from village of North Hatley, we had a great view from a hill overlooking Lake Masawippi. The hosts Carl and Carole were so friendly and made us feel at home. We were going to stay in Sherbrooke initially as we spent the day at the Strom spa there, but the 20 min drive was definitely worth it, in comparison with other places in Sherbrooke that were more expensive and less well reviewed.

West Brome
Fabulous location, within reach of many centres of interest in the Eastern Townships. No local stores or cafes, so you do need a car. The hostess was delightful and included many touches, like the fully equipped shared kitchen. No staff on site, but it’s very easy to get in touch with the hostess for anything you might need. Feels somewhat like a hostel, but with private rooms and ensuites.
La Patrie
A very unique property at the far east end of Quebec's eastern townships, close to the Maine border. The host and hostess are very friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful, and the building is a spectacular wood structure. The woodworking is very special and personal. The breakfast was outstanding - equal quality to 4-star hotels in major cities. Well worth the drive.
North Hatley
The location is perfect when visiting North Hatley and nearby areas of Eastern Townships. Having a spotless and well furnished apartment with reserved parking spot, quick responses to any questions, friendly host, and it being dog friendly, made it out to become our favourite short-term rental in the area. We'll plan to return.
Ayer's Cliff
Resort activities that are included, staff was excellent, nice quiet room with comfy king bed in main building, you pay for the lake location and the 5star treatment. Hard to find a better hotel in the eastern townships. A shoutout to the electric fat bikes !
Was happily surprised with the suite! Just in front of the spa, with a fireplace, nice kitchenette... Nice king bed, which was asked for. We even found a 'wall hide-bed'. Very nice!!
The room was very cozy felt like home
Room really exceeded our expectations. It was quite large with a completely separate bedroom and a small kitchenette, perfect to stay in and have guests over. The view was magnificent and you can't beat the location.
Great location, walking distance to the lake and downtown. Very friendly staff. We stayed in one of the renovated room: very spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable.
Modern, clean, location amazing, resto perfect, front desk Léonie professional and super nice!
room was big and nice, hotel looks very modern, nice pool area- too bad we could not enjoy it because of weather, very good breakfast
Everything was good, rooms are excellent!
The staff and service. From front desk to breakfast service.
The water of the pool was very clear and the surrounding very clean. Lovely chairs to seat outside of our room The lady at the front desk was super welcoming.
Beautiful family owned inn in a perfect location near lake snd restaurants.
Great value. Pleasantly surprised by the facilities for the price: outdoor fire pit and hot tubs, on-site restaurants, gym, and games room. I had the striploin steak at the pub restaurant and it was tender and juicy, perfectly cooked. We upgraded to the room with two queen beds and a wood-like floor, which was quite modern. It seemed like it had been recently renovated.
The view the hot tubs the grounds and terrace
The rooms were close to each other as requested.
We arrived early and they upgraded our room. The balcony was a nice refuge from the rain. The hotel is upgrading the backyard for more hot tubs and places to just enjoy the outdoors. The beach was flooded but the lake access is underrated. It is stunning. And the local kayak rental is located on the beach. We could've rented kayaks and paddled into the Quilliam-Durrell Reserve behind the hotel. A place to spot all sorts of birds and wildlike. I'd return in the autumn.
This is our second time returning to the campsite, we have always loved this magical forest, and this year even have a BBQ stand at each site, we just love it.
