I liked there was a great little Cafe that you could eat Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner depending on what you needed being out and about enjoying other activities in the area. You Just had to give the owners a heads up on what meal is needed.The Bed was comfortable and the In wall electric Fireplace was an added touch .

Oxtongue Lake
Overlooking Oxtongue Lake, this cottage resort is 10 km from Algonquin Park. It offers on-site access to a sandy beach and a fully equipped kitchen in each cosy cottage. The cottages are adorable. I was in a one bedroom. It has a fully functioning kitchen (bring all your groceries including butter, oil. And coffee grounds/pods. And a flat pan. Surprisingly no pan in the kitchen). It had really good heating. No AC but we didn't need it. No bugs inside. The veiw from the windows was a slice of heaven. BRILLIANT for kids. Two playgrounds, a library with toys, a lake opposite. Next to Algonquin so loads of fun trekking. We went when it was cold but they have paddle boats, and canoes and life vests. Honestly I am blown away by how entertained my 2 year old was in this resort.

Golden Lake
The facility was really good. Our primary target was to visit Algonquin Park. The hotel is one to one and hour drive from the park's eastern and western gate which is okay to me. Staff were very helpful. The Fish and chips in the restaurant is a must. The hotel is right beside the beach. You can enjoy the beautiful sunset. We went there in October. Definitely will go back in the summer.

-Staff was helpful and supportive. They responded to all my messages in a timely manner. -Room was clean and renovated. The beds are comfortable. The furniture was good quality. -Free services like Wifi, park, canoe and Algonquin park. -Outside the lake, the flowers and the trees are charming!

The location & views from every room are just exceptional. The staff are so friendly, welcoming & go out of their way to make you feel at home. The dock on the water is so beautiful and the food was excellent. We'll be back soon!

Wow! Sir Sam`s exceeded our expectations as we had a very relaxed, restful stay during our Honeymoon! The fall colours were in full display; the pool quiet and relaxing; massage amazing; beds and room very comfortable. The food was excellent but pricey for a full week`s stay so we enjoyed local eateries as well. Thanks for a Great Week!!
