The Urban Lodge is one of the best place I stayed in (and I travel a lot)! The staff and the owner are absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. I had a minor issue in my room and they fixed it right away. The rooms are simple but elegant. The bed is comfortable, the AC is really helping with the heat of Bujumbura, the shower is working well with hot water and good water pressure. You have a mosquito net in the room, but also on the door (so you're double protected and you can leave the door open at night if you don't like the AC). The breakfast is simple, but tasty and everything is very fresh. The rooms are spotless. You are within walking distance from many good restaurants, but you can also easily find a taxi in the street nearby. I have even recommended this place to colleagues coming to Bujumbura and they also loved it.

Hotel Club du Lac Tanganyika is located in a wide park that ends up on a marvelous beach on the banks of the Lake Tanganyika. The breakfast was great and included with the room; the dinners were great including custom made salads and a great pool for swimming laps.

Located in Bujumbura, 2.3 miles from Musee Vivant, Hotel Kangaroo Bujumbura provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. I had a great stay at Kangaroo Hotel. The bed was very comfortable with a big mosquito net, the WiFi was good, and buffet breakfast was nice and big, and I had lots of hot water for showers. Nicky at reception spoke very good English and was really helpful. The location is just a two minute walk from the main market, which is fun to visit. There are lots of taxis nearby to take you around Bujumbura. Highly recommend!

Pretty much everything, a great little oasis in what appears to be the hotel area, only a minute or two taxi ride from the main street for nice restaurants and shopping. Room was great with lovely views everything was perfect, hilton in Europe and us could learn a lot from the management here. Breakfast was fine but the view from the breakfast table was second to none.
