The room was very clean. The robs and slippers were a pleasant surprise. The swimming pool with perfect temperature and extra towels. The food in bistro was also very delicious. Totally satisfacted. The staff was very warm and welcoming while always looking to make sure that we were taken care of. On top of that, they were very generous with their checkout time (perhaps it was because it was New Year's Day 😅 but, either way, we were in no rush to leave and it never felt like we were being pushed out). We will certainly return (at a time when the weather is better for a hike in the Hoge Kempen)!

I had the most delightful stay at the Hotel De Maretak. It has only a few rooms, which gives it the charm of a bed and breakfast. The building's architecture and the attention to detail in the decor both outside and inside continually captured my attention. The dining room is especially gorgeous. My room was average in size but comfortable and quiet. Most impressive was the evening dinner, which was worthy of a multiple-star restaurant. The owners could not do enough for me. They are amazing. I recommend this hotel very highly. If you have the chance to stay here, you should DEFINITELY take it.
