Very professional.
Hotel in Crab Hill
Orrie's Beach Bar and Hotel has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Crab Hill. What a wonderful place, with its rustic charm, vibrant colours and the stunning and very chilled beach. I would have happily stayed here much longer if my itinary had allowed it. The people running the place are so friendly and so helpful, especially Shawn who did so much to make my stay: organised transfer for me, connected me with a local tennis coach, he dropped off at the courts the first day (Jolly Harbour Sport Centre incase you’re interested) and even found a room for me on my return when they were all booked up. The people who work here really take pride in this place and go out of their way to may you feel welcome. I really hope I get to return one day.

One of most beautiful beach on Antigua! Soft, almost white sand, not many people, decent prices in the bar. You have there super market - Epicurean, few ATMs on site, a bank and resorts. From Jolly Harbour you can easily catch a bus to the capital - 5 USD for two people where taxi can charge you around 20USD or more! Good place for stay with your kids, partner or ever as a solo traveller.
We stayed in the Catamaran Hotel before and after a weeks yacht charter. We didn't like the Antigua sailing vibe - few regular sized yachts and focus is on megga yachts based in English Harbour. Antigua is the home of huge, upmarket "all inclusive" hotels that dominate many of the bays that in other Caribbean Island would have locally owned beach bars and dinghy docks. So, in that respect we were disappointed. Antigua also seems to be differentiating itself by going upmarket. We had several meals out of indifferent quality that were staggeringly expensive compared to other islands. Overall, we all felt Antigua lacked the relaxed vibe of the southern Caribbean, and we shall be heading back to St Lucia/Grenada on our next sailing holidau
Excellent restaurants and bars. A very lively and interesting place, close to historic Nelsons Dockyard. Life on the Corner and the Antigua Yacht Club, which despite its name is not at all pretentious, were good fun. Would also recommend Caribbean Taste a small restaurant behind Trappas (which is also good) which serves good local food.
The people made us feel welcomed, everyone was friendly and helpful. The cultural food taste so delicious, the beaches are beautiful and the island is so gorgeous and clean. I will return for another vacation or even my wedding anniversary. I highly recommend Antigua to anyone who is looking for a relaxed destination.
Having been to Antigua many times, we have noticed some improvements in the amount of new building out of town and a general tidying up of the countryside. St John's itself is very run down, the shops where the cruise passengers go are of good quality but the town itself is very neglected. The roads out of town seem worse than before and the street lighting too. The beaches remain fabulous, must be some of the best in the world.
The inn la Galleria is not a 5 star hotel, it doe's not have matching handles on all the doors, the paint work could do with touching up and the terrace is not level. But there was always hot water, the a/c was adiquate, the staff were friendly. There was a girl there to advise on trips and was not pushy. The cheepest room only has a fridge and nothing to cook on although there is a micro-wave behind the bar you can use.so we upgraded to get a kitchen. The wi-fi was good enough for our needs " whatsapp and face book etc". The bus stop is 5 mins walk ( see photo ) and 2.5 eastern caribbean dollers gets you into town. The nearest beach is deep beach which is 15 mins stroll through the hotel down the road. The next nearest is Galley bay about 30 mins walk, then there is Halksbill beach some 40 mins walk. As we had a late flight and the room was not required by anyone else we were allowed to keep the room past checkout time at no extra cost. Good valve for the money for Antigua.
We loved Antigua. So calm and you have pretty much every beach to yourself. We are still wondering were everyone was. The beaches in this place are incredible and we found the people of Antigua to be extremely friendly and calm which helps us to relax. There is no hassling, no bargaining and will return to this place in a minute. Everyone was fantastic. We rented a car and visited all the beaches (well, not all, 30 out of the 365 beaches they have). What an incredible place. Only for beach lovers.
The main focus Heritage Quay is geared to tourists. The town generally is in need of regeneration, public footpaths are hazardous and signposting is scarce generally in Antigua other than main roads
Great place to stay if you like boats! Lots going on and very lively. Good places to eat - we love Le Cap Horn and had a great evening there. Out of season so some places were closed, but plenty to interest us. Easy to walk to Nelson's Dockyard which is a must-do if you are visiting Antigua and beaches also an easy walk.
The island is small so feel at ease to take the bus as the Antiguan people where more than willing to help. This will allow you to get the best of the country n it’s people. Ate at a lovely beach restaurant with great prices - they will convert any currency. I went with a girlfriend for our. Birthdays and it was amazing n was treated as queens.
Cobbs Cross
We loved our stay at Donkey on the Beach. The set is beautiful with amazing views over Falmouth Harbour. The apartment is super clean and has all the self-catering facilities required to enjoy a lovely stay in Antigua. Danilo and Orietta were amazing hosts, always available when needed. They kindly provided essential snacks and drinks for the first few days. Renting a car is convenient even though a 15min walk will take you to English harbour, shops and nearby restaurants. We recommend this beautiful villa for anyone visiting Antigua.
Saint Johnʼs
The apartment was spacious and clean. Essentials like WiFI, A/C, TV, stove top, and fridge all worked very well. Sufficient pots, pans, plates, and utensils. Rented a car for most of stay and had parking spot on premises directly outside door. Several beaches and groceries were within walking distance. Walked a fair amount, saw some public transport but really needed a car to experience the island. A little more so from this location but I think generally true no matter where one's accommodation located in Antigua.
Saint Johnʼs
This was our first time in Antigua in December and we were surprised to find that almost everyday it was windy, therefore the beach was full of seaweed and the sea was rough. Not as nice as it usually is. It's not the fault of the hotel, but just be aware that maybe December is not a good month to go. Restaurants nearby are super expensive, so usually we went to the supermarket (which is a bit far) to buy food to cook in our apartment. The location is good, and people working at the property are helpful.

Food is fine for this sort of hotel in the Caribbean. Hot water in the shower is iffy, but so it can be in many posher resorts I have stayed at in Antigua. At present I have work in Antigua and am a regular visitor (4 times in the last 4 months) Having stayed at several supposedly posher and much more expensive resorts this is now my favourite, in that the rooms are clean, bright and properly maintained, the amenities are good, the staff super - all in all a great package at a sensible price for Antigua.
This will be one of the most historic and unique rooms you will stay in - the restoration of the building and the bedrooms is superb! Don't be deterred by the 3 star rating, in terms of comfort and cleanliness, it is up there with 5 star hotels. We used it as a base to explore South East Antigua, and could not have been happier. The food also exceeded our expectations - the Lobster linguine I had for lunch was probably the best meal we had in Antigua, surpassing Sheer Rocks etc.

Charming, clean apartments in an incredible location. The photos truly don't do the rooms justice. Allowed us to reach any beach in Antigua with a ~25 minute drive, helping us visit over a dozen beaches during our nine- night stay. You have washing machine access, and there is a twice weekly room clean. Professional customer service from Lionel, the manager. I would strongly advise anyone looking for an affordable Antigua trip to look no further.
this was the best hotel/resort I have ever experienced. it was absolutely beautiful and luxurious. the rooms are very fancy with the most beautiful decor. I loved everything about my stay including the workers. i can’t remember all their names but skinny, marsha, little bit, whitney, tanya, adriano, and tyra were very sweet and friendly. they made my stay as a solo traveler very enjoyable. when i come back to antigua i would stay at tamarind again.
Dickenson Bay
Fantastic accommodation it a superb location right on the beach. The apartments where clean and well maintained and cleaned every other day. The Staff were absolutely lovely. Just steps from the beach with your own sun-beds included in the price A home away from home and are go to place to stay if we are ever back in Antigua. Also very safe and secure. Furthermore the grounds were lovely with a gorgeous pool and beautiful vegetation
Dickenson Bay
The location was perfect, the apartment was spacious and fully equipped. Amazing sea view from bedroom and balcony. Fast WiFi almost 50Mbps It was close to the shops, restaurants and the nearest beach was only 5 min drive. Ivonne and her mum was very nice and always hepfull. If we back to Antigua 100% we stay again in Holiday Home Belvedere!
Saint Johnʼs
The appartment / room we had was really spacious, clean and with great ocean view. When we booked we read that the food was not great but it exceeded our expectations. Also the hotel has a small island in front of the hotel where you can go by canoe or boat (all for free). It is one of the nicest beaches we have seen on Antigua.
Saint Johnʼs
A beautiful home with an amazing garden with tropical fruits. our hosts have been very kind, welcoming and helpful with advice for visiting Antigua. The space in the apartment is well thought and it’s all well equipped. Wi-Fi was fast. the location is central and ideal to explore the island by car.
Weatherills Hotel is as gorgeous in real life as in the photos. My room was comfortable, and I had everything I needed. Breakfast was consistently delicious, and the staff were just so helpful and gracious! If I'm ever back in Antigua, I will definitely stay here again.
It was the perfect location for an overnight stop over in Antigua ahead of flying to another island the next morning. The staff were extremely helpful and the rooms were perfect for what we needed them for. It was also beautiful to look out onto the sea in the morning.
Beautiful Restaurant and Bar with the most amazing view of the bay, the food was good too. Our room was comfortable and overlooks the sea. I recommend this location for a short stay in Antigua, it is 15 minutes drive to the airport.
Saint Johnʼs
Antigua Village is a wonderful location on Dickinson Bay. There are sun loungers available around the site and on the beach for some use of their customers. very well kept gardens and views of the Carribean Sea.
It was a fantastic hotel in a stunning location, set on a hill between 2 beautiful beaches. The food was authentic Antiguan and the staff helpful and charming. A wonderful holiday in the perfect spot!
Buckleys
A perfect place to relax. Loved the apartment- everything one needed as a base to explore beautiful Antigua. Comfortable space with well equipped kitchen. Supermarket nearby. Sibel was perfect host
Good location with nice looking beach, in sporty walking distance of American University Antigua (40 min). Apartment big enough, with a little kitchen and two sea-looking balconies.
this is what we hoped Antigua would be! this is not ur posh hotel with a ‘western-polish’ Caribbean through and through and all the better for it!
English Harbour Town
Comfortable bed in an air conditioned room overlooking the harbour. The staff are great and naturally offer you that Antiguan hospitality.
