Located in Saint Johnʼs, a few steps from Dickenson Bay Beach, Royalton CHIC Antigua, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort - Adults Only provides accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool,... Everything about Royalton Chic matched my expectations. No complains whatsoever. May wanna open the food truck a little earlier than 12:00pm but that’s just my preference as I like a snack a little while after breakfast but not to close to lunch.

Dickenson Bay was nice, check out Mistics (bar right on the beach). Antigua has amazing beaches and all are worth exploring. Rent a car and drive south to Fig Tree Drive. Park along the road and wander on to great beaches. Skip English Harbor if you want to avoid tourists. Don't neglect the Atlantic side of the island. Half Moon Bay is worth the drive, then climb to the top of the cliffs and watch the ocean waves crash ashore.
Freetown is a small and rural community at the south east end of Antigua; it has no tourist [or other] facilities. It is the postal code for Harmony Hall and the Nonsuch Beach resort.
Half Moon Bay is a stunningly beautiful beach, 25 min by car from Seatons. Long Bay just 5 min by car is also a very nice beach, having amenities as well. There are not a big selection of places to eat in Seatons. Mama Ruth at the grocery shop cooked very good meals at low prices to bring or eat at the vary basic site. Getting around Antigua is of course easiest having a rent car but there is also a simple and well working mini-bus system to get around.
Since I was there to participate in the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta I found English Harbour Town to a splendid place. Within walking distance to Nelson's Dockyard and many fine restaurants along the waterfront, I could not ask for a more enjoyable and friendly place to be.
Antigua is a great place and St John is central and easy to get to Heritage Quays where Bars and Restaurants are and an easy drive too good beaches.
If peace and tranquillity is what you seek, this is the place to be Claudia was an exceptional hostess A short walk to white sandy beaches Buses are reasonable...The people are so friendly I will definitely be using Five Sense on my next visit to Antigua The only drawback was the shower was cold
Bolans Antigua was gorgeous. The water is crystal clear and beautiful. The people of the island is laid back and very hospitable. Our favorite activities was the horse back riding and Shirley's Heights. It had a wonderful view of the island the food and music was good for my soul. Can't wait to visit again.
There are plenty of restaurants and cafes in the area which suit most tastes and every budget (although food is generally very expensive in Antigua so beware!) I loved a small local French-run cafe called Rum Ba Ba, open Mon-Fri lunchtimes only...they have the best selection of unique sides and salads in large stainless steel bowls on the counter so that you can pick whatever takes your eye plus at least 3 main dish specials which change daily. All the food is freshly made each morning so once the bowl is empty you're out of luck...get there early (12 - 12.30) to enjoy the delicious healthy choices. It's a great change from the usual jerked chicken and fries! Taxis are plentiful but again quite expensive. Hire cars cost approx $50 US per day if you want to tour the island however there are limited signposts and you can learn a lot more about the history of the island from a local taxi driver....they are both friendly and informative. Locals buses are cheap and will take you to St Johns for a fraction of the price of a taxi. A great place to visit is Nelson's Dockyard which is steeped in nautical history and has some lovely views of the local coastline. Great beaches in English Town include Pigeon Beach and Galleon Beach - both worth a visit.
Best beach by far in Antigua..The spectacular sunsets.Gorgeous...Blue water white sands Miracles and Castaways perfect for meals.. West Point Marina(Wally) is great for after hour sets on the Marina and Underdogs(Mark is the owner).Best Bars in the area
I am from Antigua migrated 35 yrs ago to the USA.I return 4-6 times per year even for a weekend getaway. The beaches are breath taking, the seafood is great, the people are a blended culture of many people.Great city. The cost of a taxi from St.John's to the hotel was reasonable $15.My friends and I went to Sidney for dinner which was enjoyable.

We loved our stay at Donkey on the Beach. The set is beautiful with amazing views over Falmouth Harbour. The apartment is super clean and has all the self-catering facilities required to enjoy a lovely stay in Antigua. Danilo and Orietta were amazing hosts, always available when needed. They kindly provided essential snacks and drinks for the first few days. Renting a car is convenient even though a 15min walk will take you to English harbour, shops and nearby restaurants. We recommend this beautiful villa for anyone visiting Antigua.
Saint Johnʼs
This was our first time in Antigua in December and we were surprised to find that almost everyday it was windy, therefore the beach was full of seaweed and the sea was rough. Not as nice as it usually is. It's not the fault of the hotel, but just be aware that maybe December is not a good month to go. Restaurants nearby are super expensive, so usually we went to the supermarket (which is a bit far) to buy food to cook in our apartment. The location is good, and people working at the property are helpful.
Saint Johnʼs
Food is fine for this sort of hotel in the Caribbean. Hot water in the shower is iffy, but so it can be in many posher resorts I have stayed at in Antigua. At present I have work in Antigua and am a regular visitor (4 times in the last 4 months) Having stayed at several supposedly posher and much more expensive resorts this is now my favourite, in that the rooms are clean, bright and properly maintained, the amenities are good, the staff super - all in all a great package at a sensible price for Antigua.
Saint Johnʼs
After a long trip from Saskatoon to Antigua, it was nice to arrive at this quiet hotel. I had a suite on the top floor with a full kitchen, a king size bed, and a jacuzzi tub. I walked to St John's to rent a mountain bike for 5 days from Bike Plus on Independence Avenue and rode 200 km all around the island. The nearest beach is a 20 min walk from the hotel. I recommend Nigel's restaurant just down the street at the Anchorage Inn. I had a wonderful time. Donna was a very nice host.
This will be one of the most historic and unique rooms you will stay in - the restoration of the building and the bedrooms is superb! Don't be deterred by the 3 star rating, in terms of comfort and cleanliness, it is up there with 5 star hotels. We used it as a base to explore South East Antigua, and could not have been happier. The food also exceeded our expectations - the Lobster linguine I had for lunch was probably the best meal we had in Antigua, surpassing Sheer Rocks etc.

Charming, clean apartments in an incredible location. The photos truly don't do the rooms justice. Allowed us to reach any beach in Antigua with a ~25 minute drive, helping us visit over a dozen beaches during our nine- night stay. You have washing machine access, and there is a twice weekly room clean. Professional customer service from Lionel, the manager. I would strongly advise anyone looking for an affordable Antigua trip to look no further.
this was the best hotel/resort I have ever experienced. it was absolutely beautiful and luxurious. the rooms are very fancy with the most beautiful decor. I loved everything about my stay including the workers. i can’t remember all their names but skinny, marsha, little bit, whitney, tanya, adriano, and tyra were very sweet and friendly. they made my stay as a solo traveler very enjoyable. when i come back to antigua i would stay at tamarind again.
Dickenson Bay
Fantastic accommodation it a superb location right on the beach. The apartments where clean and well maintained and cleaned every other day. The Staff were absolutely lovely. Just steps from the beach with your own sun-beds included in the price A home away from home and are go to place to stay if we are ever back in Antigua. Also very safe and secure. Furthermore the grounds were lovely with a gorgeous pool and beautiful vegetation
English Harbour Town
The property is situated in a great location within English Harbour with fantastic views of the harbour. The grounds of the hotel are well-kept and the hotel is within walking distance (about 10 mins away) from Pigeon Point beach, which is one of the nicest of Antigua's many, many beaches! I was particularly happy about the nearby gym.
Saint Johnʼs
The appartment / room we had was really spacious, clean and with great ocean view. When we booked we read that the food was not great but it exceeded our expectations. Also the hotel has a small island in front of the hotel where you can go by canoe or boat (all for free). It is one of the nicest beaches we have seen on Antigua.
Saint Johnʼs
A beautiful home with an amazing garden with tropical fruits. our hosts have been very kind, welcoming and helpful with advice for visiting Antigua. The space in the apartment is well thought and it’s all well equipped. Wi-Fi was fast. the location is central and ideal to explore the island by car.
The food was delicious. Be prepared to be stuffed after dinner. Be sure to visit the Residences’ infinity pool and Green Island. Although the Escape is a bit secluded ( that’s the point) the hotels amenities and the tour options are the perfect mix of for escaping while still exploring Antigua.
Beautiful Restaurant and Bar with the most amazing view of the bay, the food was good too. Our room was comfortable and overlooks the sea. I recommend this location for a short stay in Antigua, it is 15 minutes drive to the airport.
Saint Johnʼs
Antigua Village is a wonderful location on Dickinson Bay. There are sun loungers available around the site and on the beach for some use of their customers. very well kept gardens and views of the Carribean Sea.
Buckleys
A perfect place to relax. Loved the apartment- everything one needed as a base to explore beautiful Antigua. Comfortable space with well equipped kitchen. Supermarket nearby. Sibel was perfect host
Good location with nice looking beach, in sporty walking distance of American University Antigua (40 min). Apartment big enough, with a little kitchen and two sea-looking balconies.
this is what we hoped Antigua would be! this is not ur posh hotel with a ‘western-polish’ Caribbean through and through and all the better for it!
I enjoyed staying at Heritage Hotel. It's my favorite place to stay in Antigua.
The food was great. I love the entertainment it was undeed awesome.
