Situated in Avalon and with Descanso Beach reachable within 1.2 km, Zane Grey Pueblo Hotel features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. Some units at the property have a patio with a city view. Everything was great. Breakfast was very good, and the view and surrounding environment, beautiful. Of special note, and quite outstanding was the service provided by staff to promptly transport us 1/2 mile or so up and down the steep hill, to the main part of town and back. They also picked us up at the ferry, and then going back met us at the ferry with all of our luggage later in the day after we checked out.

I just stay there for a family trip and the place is gorgeous!Its a little pricey but you get what you pay for.Having the golf cart it’s great cause you will needed thru out your stay.The staff answer me every time I called them if I had a question or issue.Over all beautiful place!

Outdoor area of the hotel was very pretty. Lots of seating and lounge chairs. Pool and restaurant on site at hotel. Our room was pretty clean didn’t notice stains besides 2 on towels. Room was spacious. The shuttle service they provide was great!! Drivers were friendly, waited no longer than 15minutes at each stop. Takes you from the ferry harbor to hotel to downtown.
they have a shuttle that runs every 20 minutes from the main street to the inn, as well as from the catalina ferry to the inn. We didn't have to walk unless we were coming back late at night, and even then, its only 0.7 miles from the main street! The location was never an issue! There is a restauraunt but breakfast is not continental. There is a pool with pool towels provided! All this place needs is a hot tub then it would be 10/10!
The location was close to everything staff was amazing the golf cart was such a bonus this was our 3d time to Catalina and the golf cart was a game changer we had so much fun. We can't wait to come back when the pool is open.
Easy walk from ferry. Close to the market and restaurants in Avalon. Great place to hike in the hills and swim in the harbor.
About as good a location as possible. Only about a 5-minute walk from the dock, and a block away from Crescent Street, so an easy walk to almost everything but less noisy than if it were in the middle of it all. Had a fridge and freezer, and the rooms were nicely l decorated with sea themes. The tub had a whirlpool setting (which we didn’t use). Most of all, the owners/ staff were very helpful and friendly.
Location, view, wrap around deck, so many comfy places to sit, excellent kitchen, with many ‘basics’ provided. Very responsive host. Site amenities were excellent (pool, mini golf, tennis)
The continental breakfast was a nice touch & nice to have a pool. Lucy was very helpful.
Loved all the facilities - tennis, pool, private beach and use of the golf cart was awesome!
