The resort is located on the Punta Quepos promontory in Costa Rica, surrounded by 12 acres of wildlife-rich tropical rainforest with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Manuel Antonio. This eco-luxury resort features 3 swimming pools and 3 restaurants. Super nice hotel. It was second time in this hotel, and although I know what we will get, the hotel still exceeded our expectations. We especially enjoyed the staff, who were working with the attitude as they liked to work there - no stress, relaxed, no fake politeness (polite just as much needed), helpful, no this waiting-for-the-tip attitude that was quite widespread during our 2+ weeks in Costa Rica. Hotel has super nice view on Pacific Ocean and lush forest with plenty of birds, monkeys, sloths etc just outside the rooms. Sunset Terrace is perfect place for bird-watching. Hotel organises their own Night Walk tours, although it was rather short (compared to other night walks we did this and last time in Costa Rica), but quite informative (especially on frogs). Birds we mostly saw around hotel: turkey vulture, frigatebirds, brown pelicans, yellow-headed caracara, hummingbirds, orange-chinned parakeet, crimson-fronted parakeet, fiery-billed aracari, black-mandibled toucan, great kiskadee, wilson's warbler, cherrie's tanager, blue-gray tanager, golden-hooded tanager, palm tanager, melodious blackbird, yellow-crowned euphonia, scarlet macaw, black vulture, great-tailed grackle. Brown boobys are living on the islets close to the peninsula. Plus howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, white-faced capuchins, lizards, iguanas, sloths. If you are jogger, take 3.5km return run from hotel to Pura Vida Supermarket. Pretty nice ascensions. I did it this and last time around 5 pm, when you can hear and see scarlet macaws (this is the time when they are active - information provided by hotel staff). I saw these magnificent birds, plus howler monkeys and squirrel monkeys. Hotel also has shuttle service (by the schedule) from hotel to Manuel Antonio National Park (roundabout stop, from where you have to walk little bit to the entrance of the park).

Guests can relax in the garden at the property. Amazing owners/ staff; kind, helpful and very customer focused. Very kid friendly. Basically a brand new hotel so everything is fresh. Beds are super comfy. Pool is spotless. Excellent value for money. They are currently adding a restaurant to the grounds which will compliment the hotel very well.

We stayed at Casa del conde for only one night, and it was the best sleep we had in our 2 week trip! The beds were so comfortable! Grounds are nice, amazing views to the ocean, lots of birds, a lookout tower, pool, restaurant for an excellent optional breakfast. Really reasonable prices. For dinner the Cerro Lodge is very close. Birds right outside my door.

The beds were very comfortable, we loved to have two bathrooms in the suite, we very much appreciated our little private pool, the terrace with enough lounge chairs. The beach and the privacy. The design is very stylish and everything is very well maintained. We loved the encounters with the monkeys, the iguanas and the birds on the property. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets, which can be experienced on the property in different lounge areas. The entire staff was perfect. The security man, the cleaning lady, the maintenance man and of course Jorge Fernandez, the manager who helped in many ways e.g. with restaurant recommendations and reservations and with reservations for the ferry.
