We love De Hoop and stay there quite frequently. The staff are wonderful as is the location, restaurants, activities and as it's Spring all the flowers are out.

Water scalding hot in the shower…….ones hand had to go through hot water to adjust cold tap and takes time to adjust.
Recommend Bars on bedroom windows for Baboons.

Blue Crane Opstal House was a lovely self catering base for a couple of nights. The building itself was cold but electric blankets meant we were lovely and cozy at night. Well equipped kitchen with lovely dining and lounge area. Great sheltered little front patio with Adirondack chairs for just sitting and enjoying the wildlife wandering just outside the garden wall....made all the more exciting by two male baboons deciding to battle it out in the garden and around the house - certainly got our heart rates up !

It was such a wonderful experience to be on a house boat.The bed was super comfy with a lovely warm duvet as we were on the boat in May so it was very snug in the cabiin!
