Breakfast was fantastic - lots of options, good coffee, hot food. It was too cold to swim but the pool looked lovely. Desk staff helpful in pointing us to dinner at the roundabout diner, which was very good.
The location is just beyond walking distance from town, along the highway. My room faced the back of the building so noise wasn't an issue. The breakfast was to order, not buffet. Coffee was good and I liked having the Keurig, fridge and microwave in the room. The pool is in its own room in the parking lot accessed by an underground tunnel. It was big enough with everything you need--lots of seating and tables, and clean towels.
I checked in but had an emergency and had to leave and get a refund. I did not stay the night. I did spend time in the small dark lobby. I would not recommend this hotel.No pool no breakfast. But mostly because I suspect it was partly used as a homeless shelter. I realize there is a need but not what I was expecting. Staff was helpful with getting me my refund. I appreciated that.
I liked the location. The hotel is clean. I requested a daily room make up, so at least this point was good. The swimming pool and the gym were nice. The breakfast is as expected in the hotel group.

The lady who checked us in was amazing and gave us tips about a fantastic place to have the best pizza in Portsmouth.
