This is our 3rd time to The Tides, we chose it primarily due to the close proximity to our son’s apartment. It is perfectly located in easy reach of Heisler Park, Main Beach and the town - all in a few mins walk.

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. We only stayed for one night on our honeymoon as part of a wider California trip but it was one of the best nights thanks to the amazing staff here. We were upgraded and able to check in 4 hours (!) early. Location for crescent bay and heisler park was perfect. Staff were so helpful and friendly, recommending brilliant taco restaurant Asada across the road. Pool and fire great vibe at night. The waffle white cotton bath robes, all-lemongrass-everything toiletries and moisturiser, cookies and wine hour - so many heavenly touches.

The staff was fantastic - really accommodating and friendly. Shout-out to Anderson for his support and providing compensation for an unsatisfactory room. The room was very dated but perfectly clean! A fireplace by the swimming pool area is a nice addition! Free parking space.
Location was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable. Access to downtown Laguna Beach was easily walkable. Parking was good though a bit tight. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was functional. There is a nice swimming pool although we didn't try it, yet I was drawn to definitely try it the next time.
The hotel was great with the patio and the terrace.
We had a welcome wine on the rooftop which was great and they offered us (for free) the opportunity to use the swimming pool and jacuzzi of the hotel just next to it which was super easy and great too. The staff was super friendly and the room was great!
Excellent value for money in Laguna Beach. No onsite restaurant but plenty of good choices nearby. The beach was wonderful with chairs and umbrellas provided. Swimming pool is a lovely family hang out venue.
Donna, receptioist, and other personnel were hospitable and helpful. Heated swimming pool and the free on-site parking were a plus. Many streaming services (some free, others you login using your credentials) are available on a big screen
Amazing location both in terms of the ocean and the downtown area. The common areas open to all guests were clean and well-kept, including a very hot hot tub and cool swimming pool. And the front desk staff was very friendly and responsive to our needs!
