I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at Hotel Domogled. It was my first time in Baile Herculane, and I was looking for a quiet, restful place. Hotel Domogled did not disappoint. A lot of the clientele is there to take advantage of the various balneotherapy procedures performed in the onsite clinic. There's also a swimming pool open to all the hotel guests.
I had a double room with a balcony on the 4th floor with a gorgeous view of the park in front, flanked by mountains. The room was newly furnished, luminous, quiet, and very clean. The bathroom was in good working order, clean, and big enough not to feel crammed.
There is a buffet restaurant on the premises where breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served. The menu is well selected (mostly Romanian dishes), there is plenty of variety (at least three choices of soups, meats, and side dishes), and the quality of the food is consistently good. My room included breakfast, but after trying their lunch menu once, I had most of my lunches in there, paying separately. Try it once. You might be coming back.
The atmosphere is quiet; no loud music, no loud guests, no parties at midnight.
The personnel both in the restaurant and at reception are friendly, attentive, polite, and patient.

The 2nd Time at Bacolux and everything was fine. We were in may so it was less crowded in the area, and also at the hotel, so we could enjoy the swimming pool and the indoor spa area
The hotel has all the necessary conditions for an excellent holiday, spacious clean rooms, great food, swimming pools both inside and outdoors, spa and a fantastic view especially from the 9th floor.
We got a room with mountain view, which was breathtaking, if we would have gotten a room on the opposite side I wouldn’t have been so thrilled.
View is amazing, you have access to the swimming pool which is also nice, you can hear the river from the balcony or restaurant terrace, breakfast is stunning, never seen so many options of food in a long while.
People working at the property are all super friendly and helpful.

The positives were:
1. The staff at the hotel were exceptional. The receptionist was incredibly kind and always greeted us with a warm smile. The cleaning crew did an excellent job maintaining the cleanliness of the rooms.
2. The indoor pool was a great feature, and the fact that it was warm made swimming even more enjoyable. Having a hot shower nearby after swimming was a nice touch. Swimming at night was a wonderful way to relax and relieve stress.
3. The balcony provided a lovely view, adding to the overall ambiance of the stay.
The outside swimming pool was great, clean and warm. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. The location is excellent, short walk to the centre.

Buffet breakfast really good, good value for the money
The facilities were excellent. We enjoyed the swimming pool and spa, both excellent. The buffet should be served by staff, as people created a mess. We had dinner only once and we didn’t like it. But other than that we had an excellent 5 night stay.
