An amazing camp, the location was perfect. Amazing views and so peaceful if you like to be isolated. We didnt use the pool as it was a bit cold but it looked really nice and we did use the fire bit everynight. The room was really big with comfy beds and a nice bathroom. Also the facilities in the kitchen were great, everything was there that we need.
The staff were really amazing, the hosts and the guys that help out there were so accommodating and friendly.

To sum it up: A great place.
I have to admit that I read all the negative comments and got very mixed feelings about my booking before arriving. Also, I got a very confusing automated email from the management to pay my booking on booking.com within a very short time frame (1 or 2 days) by bank transfer, although the payment specifics on booking.com stated that I can pay with credit card upon arrival. After escalating the case with booking.com and also writing an email to the management, I got the confirmation immediately that I can pay with card upon arrival. It would be better for the management to change their automated message to avoid confusion.
However, besides this I cannot understand the bad reviews of the other travellers. Ok, the swimming pool is a sad sight, with some algae and milky water. This new management of this place obviously just took over from the former owners, so they definitely need some time to get everything in order. The management said they will look into the matter to improve the water quality of the pool.
The overall location and the layout and design of the hotel is fantastic, isolated, quit and the garden designer really knew what he was doing when he constructed the outward patio and seating area close to the floodlit waterhole and around the fig trees which are hundreds of years old.
Of course, the tennis court is delapidated and the airstrip is no longer in use. This building has definitely seen more glamorous times in its 100 plus year old history and 60 since being remodelled into a hunting lodge.
The main building has lots of character and, as a hunting lodge, is full of fancy sofas upholstered with zebra skins. Plus there is a stuffed giraffe in the lounge (and supposedly an elephant head in the owners building). This game seems to have been shot long time ago.
The bar and main building looks as from a movie.
‘Does it have a pool?’ is arguably one of the most common questions when booking a stay in any location. These hotels offer a great way to keep active during your holiday without having to hit the gym. Indoor pools allow you to practice your backstroke come rain or shine, whereas outdoor options allow you to relax on a sun lounger after swimming a few lengths.
Big Tent with all the necessities inside and outside shower,Braai area with wood provided.Let’s not talk about the outdoor kitchen fully equipped with all cutleries provided and those braaing spices. That was awesome
Let me not forget the private swimming pool
Is a 10/10 out of nature. 😁
Unique experience, private swimming pool and Markus made us feel very welcome !
Every small detail is covered here. We should have stayed longer.
After a cold beer in our private pool, we put great meat on our braai and enjoyed the wilderness. We had the feeling to be alone and we saw few kudu’s near our tent. It was memorable !
We had an amazing stay at tent Zahir! The tent is really big, neat and clean and the beds are super comfortable. The braai place and swimming pool are really nice. The hosts are incredibly friendly, flexible and helpful. And the area is so peaceful and quiet, you only hear birds. Even though we only stayed here for 1 night, we really got the rest we needed. This was our best stay in Namibia, compared to 9 other places where we were. We will definitely come back and book more nights at tent Zahir!
Good size of family room with two double, very comfortable beds. Nice view from the terrace. A huge swimming pool with fresh water.

The host was very friendly and very welcoming, she made excellent breakfast for us! A very nice place to relax before or after Etosha :)
Extra tip - go to the swimming pool just down the street at Kupferquelle
After spending 4 nights in very basic and more expensive accommodation in Etosha, Kupferquelle was very welcomed. The room was modern and spacious. The shower wa excellent. Nice little balcony to sit outside on.
Huge very clean swimming pool.
Beautiful grounds especially if you want to camp.
