Before I even arrived at their property, Manager Cíntia Neves was providing me with wonderful guidance as I prepared to make the most of my first time in Moçambique. She communicated essential transport advice and recommendations of ways to maximize my time in Maputo, even when I was staying at another hotel for my first six days in the country. Once I finally arrived, I was able to enjoy a lovely start to the new year. Breakfast was filled with delicious fruits and excellent service. The rest of the breakfast spread was not as exciting, but it worked for my four morning meals. Due to the rainy weather, and getting out to explore the city, I did not get to fully enjoy the pool, but it was nice to have one there since the part of the ocean where you can swim is on the other side of the city. I enjoyed walking in the beautiful Tunduru Gardens nearby, and there is a lovely restaurant at the end of the street by the museum (and at the top of killer steps) where I enjoyed a fabulous meal and view of the sunset (Campo Das Acácias) It was quiet in the hotel, and I enjoyed the peace after being on the other side by the beach with lots of families and groups.

The guest house is much brighter and cozy than it appears on a photo. Breakfast is something beyond describing it, the variety of cakes and pies makes it whole gastronomic journey. Host is very friendly and keen on a good advise. Safe and secure place with gated parking and guard always on site. The only place to stay in Maputo.

We will never forget Imelda's aim to help with everything, and specially her UNFORGETTABLE AND TASTY breakfast. The building is close to the center, in a very safe area (we think most of Maputo is very safe since we walked all the time and people are very kind, even by night), just 10-15 min walk from la Baixa. Bed and pillows are very very very comfortable. Airconditioner works perfectly and wifi is very fast and reliable. We did some excursions (eSwatini, Kruger Park, Inhaca Island) and Imelda prepared our breakfasts very early, sometimes before 5am. She was always smiling and trying to help. Juice, milk, water and bananas were replaced for free every day in our grren room. We loved Maputo, and if someday we will return, we won't hesitate staying here again. We felt like home!!!
