A jewel of a hotel. A magnificent waluwaa which has been lovingly restored and decorated. The art collection is mesmerising especially for anyone with an interest in Sri Lankan art and history. David has done a superb job and we only wished we had stayed longer. The meals on the vernada were superb quality and portion sizes were just right. We enjoyed a walk around the estate grounds. Highly recommended and would lend itself to a longer stay as a well located base and so much nicer than being in Kandy or a large impersonal hotel.

The stay was overwhelming! Very nice staff who were happy to give tips for the excursions. Clean hotel and clean rooms. They even cooked "Rice and Curry" in the evening! Really exceptionally good and highly recommended! Taxi for the onward journey was also organised!

When booking this Hotel I thought it looked nice, but that just do not do it justice. The welcome was perfect with an intro massage whilst checking in. The views from the reception are absolutely stunning set in an idyllic location. The staff were incredibly attentive, the room was exceptional with an in nature feel about it being so well positioned and overlooking the nature park. The only noises to hear were nature itself. Wonderful choices for food and drinks both local and international.
Wake up in a traditional home located just 4.5km away from the noisy city, 5km from the Temple of the Tooth Relic ( Sri Dalada Maligawa).

The Kandyan Manor and especially the owners offered a safe space in the middle of a chaotic town for us. Bhathiya and Suzy always took care we are feeling well and helped us organize trips. Also the dinner which you can book extra is highly recommended. You can get breakfast every morning with a stunning view at their terrace, most of the food is even self grown in their garden. We also liked the interior of the location a lot.

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation! The food was absolutely fantastic – everything is freshly cooked. The food is only sourced from our own garden or from the nearby village. We were especially impressed with the traditional dishes. A special highlight was the short garden tour where we were shown which spices grow in this area and how they are used. It was so interesting to learn more about the local plants.
We also had the chance to take a short hike through the jungle to a nearby temple. The scenery along the way was beautiful and made the adventure even more special.
The view from the accommodation is breathtaking, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the day.
Overall, it was an amazing stay that we highly recommend to everyone!
