Amazing hotel + hosts + food! Well worth the cable car ride and hiking --- but those were fun too 1x/day. Cozy room with lovely wood furnishings, warm blanket, excellent shower, dresser, closet, windows. Would love to return and spend more time. Dinner service was so wonderful.

Great location - in the middle of apple gardens. Quiet neighbourhood. Very comfortable room with balcony overlooking the mountains. Very good restaurant - for breakfast as well as for dinner. Very helpful staff. I definitely enjoyed my stay and will come back again!

Grand old dame nicely updated and very close to centre of town. Very helpful and pleasant staff - a complaint about the size of our room was immediately dealt with, with no fuss and much goodwill (pictures on Booking.com quite misleading). There are lots of facilities (pool yoga classes etc etc ) but we did not use these. Parking is right by the hotel and although the price quoted seemed high (27€) the hotel gives 50% discount. And it is super convenient.

Kadaun where Eggentaller is situated is a lovely village at the outskirts of Bolzano/ Bozen. Conveniently situated for reaching Seceda, Latemar and the lakes. Eggentaler offers a refined rural mini- resort atmosphere, and fantastic food at the restaurant which is Michelin-listed. A nice swimming pool with sun shining on the deck well after 7PM in early August. Great time overall. Markus is a great host!
Great location. It is 5 mins away by foot to center and 40-50mins away by car to Ortisei. Spacious room with anice outdoor swimming pool. And easy to park a car.
It is a 10 min walk to the city centre and closer to the funicular so nice and quiet location. The room was lovely and big with a great veranda overlooking the swimming pool and the hills. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Location - 10 mins walk from train station and right beside the cable cars (you could see them from the pool and my balcony) was excellent. Also getting the Bolzano card as part of the deal with free entry to local museums, cable cars, and other public transport was very good value.
The historic building is magnificently preserved, with a mature garden, beautiful boisserie-lined lounge, outdoor heated swimming pool and excellent restaurant.
Nice location next to the mountains, in a very quiet area (though now there are some construction buildings on). The hotel is huge and you can tell that they've been in the business for a long time. Nice swimming pool, both outdoor and indoor. The gym area is nice too.
