This is the best villa we have stayed in. The location was tranquil but close to the beach and a couple of restaurants. There is a cook to make meals and they will help you get items from the shop. The villa is exceptionally clean and well maintained, absolutely stunning. Very comfortable stay.

We booked an out of the way place on purpose. In amongst the rice fields, there were 4 other villas near by but all private enough. It was basically cheap but with a pool and beach front it was perfect for us. It had four big bedrooms, great air conditioning and roomy.
We had no idea that the accommodation included a housekeeper/cook as part of the package - We were there 8 days and so were able to enjoy local food she prepared from scratch every day. Delicious. She would shop for us too. There were western options but we didn't try those.
The temperature of the pool and sea were divine. We wanted a holiday to relax and chill.
We visited the local town and market it was very traditional and not touristy.
Sunsets were really good so accommodation facing west is very much worth it.
In terms of taxi / transport, the cost to get from the airport and the back to Jimboran on the other side of the island was EXTREMLEY good value, with stops on the way as we wished. The guy co-ordinated a few drivers and the service was reliable in clean airconditioned vehicles. We saw a previous review saying that the driver was pricey. That may have related to just the trips to the local town. His drivers had to come from 25 minutes away to get there (and back) so probably had to cover extra for that. So no issues from us. He came one evening and explained all the trips we were interested in and the prices. After then he didn't bother us.
I was surprised there were no itchy bitey things - We took our insect repellant home unused. There were some big ish ants, but they didn't cause any bother. A few geckos hung out at night and a couple of bats. But again zero issue. It was nice to see them.

The hotel is built into the forest on a beautiful hill which is very peaceful. The rooms are large and very bright. The shower has plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The food was pretty good. The room was clean.

I loved the spaciousness, having my own private pool and kitchen! The location is quiet and thats what I wanted. Make a stop in Lovina beach for the supermarket to stock up the kitchen and make your own food. You can also call restaurants and get delivery.

Everything was just perfect! We stayed in the villa with private pool, which was fantastic - very spacious, with the beach on one side and rice fields on the other. It is somewhat remote, but as we wanted to be away from the crowds, this was perfect too, and you can book transfers and day trips as well as massages via the hotel.
Excellent value for money: big room with balcony, fridge, strong air conditioning, lovely pool (water has a nice refreshing temperature). Lots of choices for breakfast. I didn't expect much when I went snorkelling but what surprised how beautiful the reef is there.
Such a beautiful little gem on the beach with massive and well-designed color-themed room. The mattress is so comfortable that we had such a good, straight sleep on the tranquil, quiet beach. We booked the Studio biru which has direct access to the pool and beach. The resto is just nearby and food were spot on. We did not have to go anywhere but just relax and chill at the resort because they have everything we need for short beach vacation.
Mayo is a glorious resort in north Bali with black sand beach and a gorgeous pool. The restaurant overlooks the sea and has the most brilliant sunsets I've ever witnessed. The rooms are huge with high ceilings and stone flooring. The beds are very comfortable. The staff is very kind, attentive and accommodating. There's a row boat you can take out, and free snorkel gear rental (sans snorkel 🤿) mask/Fins only. Unlimited free Le Mineral drinking water and a nice sized fridge.
The location was perfect for us, down on the beach and away from the hustle and bustle, but not too isolated. The meals were delicious and the outdoor restaurant/meals area was idyllic. Nice, clean pool and plenty of shady spots. Staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble.
