The property was beautiful. The main building has been modernised while beautifully maintaining a lot of the original 250 year old features. We booked based on the design renderings and the real thing absolutely lived up the the design pictures. We stayed in the executive suite and we’re thrilled with the room, pool and restaurant. There is also a small art gallery attached which is open to view.

I do think this is the most beautiful accommodation I've ever been so far. Outdoor space is incredibly relaxing and the private pool is a must. Sea view is a real dream, and enjoying the sunset straight from our super comfy bed, makes you feel like you're living the perfect holiday. Staff is amazingly professional and very helpful. Most appreciated part for me is the cleanliness... Our room was spotless. Superb.

Breakfast was included and you simply ordered off the menu. The menu had a full range of options from eggs Benedict to yogurt and fruit. The food was spectacular. In fact we asked the chef to prepare a "chefs choice" for 8. Amazing. Akra suites is right on the caldera with beautiful sunsets.

The staff was so amazingly lovely! Every night they brought us little treats. So thoughtful! View was great, delicious breakfast. Room was absolutely amazing. Korres products in the bathroom were a great touch. Everyone walking along the strip was very jealous of our pool. And nowhere near as cold as people were complaining about in other reviews. Especially when it was hot, the water temperature was heaven.

The view and private jacuzzi were the highlights. We got up to watch the sun rise on more than one occasion. The quiet location was perfect for us as we wanted to be away from the crowds, but we were still close enough to Thira and having a driver was so handy. The staff were so friendly, too.
