The Manor House At Celtic Manor, hotel in Pontnewydd

Set within 2000 acres of parkland in the beautiful Usk Valley, this historic 19th-century manor house features original features such as wood-panelled walls and a sweeping wooden staircase.

Nice room, friendly staff. Navigation inside was not so straightforward (at first) and the lift appeared to begin on the first, not ground, floor. An excellent breakfast was included in the price of my room. Location, just off the M4 junction, was easy to find and although the motorway was close, I was not aware of it in the hotel. Would I stay again? Perhaps but . . . (see below).

Hilton Cardiff, hotel in Pontnewydd

Stay in the heart of Cardiff This luxury hotel is in the city centre, looking out over Cardiff Castle and City Hall.

Bed was very comfortable, Alys in the restaurant looked after us really well as did the lady on reception on Saturday night (?Elin). Was nice to be able to use the pool and the hotel is well located for Cardiff centre without being too noisy.
