We have just spent a very relaxing few nights at Gumbo Limbo. It is a beautiful spot, and our room was very spacious and comfortable. Four toucans were sitting in the tree outside when we arrived! There is a lot to do locally and we enjoyed trips to Cahel Pech, the Butterfly Ranch, Caracol with a guide organised by Christine, and Escabeche for lunch at Upe Nai.

The location, close to the border with Guatemala, and in the forest, away from the hustle and bustle from San Ignacio town. The cabin was huge, clean and a well equipped kitchen. The porch was fantastic. Hearing the plethora of birds singing early in the morning. Being surrounded by the amazing flora, and the number od butterflies all over the place.
Being entertained by a snake hunting gekos the last night we were there.
Tge staff were amazing, friendly and helpful, with an incedible knowledge of the flora and fauna around us.

We had an awesome stay at the lodge! Everyone is super friendly and so helpful! They can organize and book many tours for you or just recommend things to do. The room we had was very clean and the food at the restaurant is great! The pool was refreshing! The lodge is directly next to the Mayan ruins Cahal Pech, which is definitely worth visiting! Highly recommended!!! You can see and feel that the lodge is maintained and led with love!

Loved this place. Stunning location. Great staff and guide. Menu a bit overpriced, other than that nothing to report/mention, other than that we had a fantastic time here.

Loved everything about the place. Location on a rainforest preserve is fabulous, lots of trails to hike and things to see. Staff is as well trained as any Ritz Carleton. Food was incredible, with much of it grown locally on the nearby farm. We enjoyed the spa, the pool and the peace and quiet.

Everything. Melanie, Larry and the team treated us more like family than guests. They organised all our trips and activities, at no extra cost, even after we changed our plans. The location was perfect, like an oasis in the jungle, the pool was fantastic and the room was very tastefully decorated with everything we could need.
‘Does it have a pool?’ is arguably one of the most common questions when booking a stay in any location. These hotels offer a great way to keep active during your holiday without having to hit the gym. Indoor pools allow you to practice your backstroke come rain or shine, whereas outdoor options allow you to relax on a sun lounger after swimming a few lengths.
The owners were great. The rooms were clean. The dinner the first night was fantastic. Beautiful location. The pool was wonderful. The dining area was lovely.
Amazing views, serene setting and wonderful pool to soak in after a day of tourng sites. Perfect distance from San Ignacio and very glad we stayed here instead of in town. The resort is in excellent condition and Jay & Kristine are superb hosts and made the whole family feel perfectly at home from the start. Be sure to ask Jay to take you hunting at night for a very unique jungle creature - you'll sleep very well if you do ;).
The name threw us off, and we thought it was going to be a party place... instead, we found paradise. The nicest owners, private, romantic room, fabulous bar and lounge area, awesome pool. Birdwatching for DAYS! Best breakfast ever. I can't say enough about how lovely our stay was.
